    The Pokéathlon is a competition where Pokemon compete to score points in an array of events, such as the relay run, hurdle dash, and even a snowball throwing event. If you win events, your Pokemon will win medals. You also gain points, more points if you do better. You can spend these on various prizes.

    Did you ever use this new feature? Did you like it, or not? Why or why not?

    I liked it because it was a chance to get certain elemental stones and other neat prizes. I was terrible at the events, but it was still fun. xD My poor Quilava, running into almost every gate because I was too slow at making him jump over them...
     
    I really liked it; it was great. Unfortunately, though, I didn't participate much aside from the time I had first been introduced to Pokéathlon, and I sort of regret that. :( Was busy exploring Kanto, training Pokémon, trading, and things like that; if it weren't for those, then I definitely would have.
     
    It was one of my favorite features in HG/SS, so I definitely used it a lot! I took it very seriously back then, and I made tons of aprijuice, haha. The prizes were also worth it, especially the stones.
     
    I quite enjoyed it myself. It was good fun, and while it was perhaps not as fun as the original contests for myself, I preferred it to any other 4th/5th gen side-event of this sort (sans the Underground). And the variety was neat, so that if you didn't like one sort of event you may well like another instead.
     
    I had fun with it. Nothing will ever interest me quite as much as contests did back in RSE. However, this was a fun little feature that I preferred over most of the other ones with similar purposes in generation IV. When I first played through SoulSilver, I had no idea what the Pokéathlon was, so discovering it and playing it really changed my opinion on the Johto remakes.
     
    I have a lot of fun with the Pokéathlon. It's a nice way to interact with my Pokémon other than battling. It does get frustrating at times though, especially the relay race. They never dash when I want them to dash >.<
     
    I tried out the Pokeathlon in the game and while some of the games looked hard, I did have the most fun in the Stamina course because it had the easiest games imo. I usually often did well in that course because I had a pretty dang good Miltank that owned a lot of her competition, she was often my go-to star to win me those Athlete Points. My fave game was the Ring Drop, because my Miltank was so strong in that one.

    The items you could buy at the shop there were also really nice, especially the various evolution items and stones.
     
    I thought it was really fun and sometimes challenging - I can never get a could score on the Pennant game, no matter how hard I try. I thought it was a really great feature that tied in nicely to the follow-me feature. The prizes were really great, too!
     
    One of the many great things about the almighty Pokeathlon was the fact that every species of Pokemon were viable in one area or another. It meant you had the opportunity to use any Pokemon you were particularly attached to, so long as they suited the course. You could be sly and just enter with the Creation Trio to obliterate your enemies, but entering with Totodile, Cyndaquil and Chikorita was just as much fun!
     
    I love the Pokeathlon even though I swear it cheats. I really enjoy using my Notch-Eared Pichu and Pikachu Colored Pichu in the events. I can't beat the records, but I mostly use it for the Evolutionary Stones, anyway. I bought a Water Stone to Evolve my Staryu from here!
     
    The PokeAthlon was a great addition. The mini games were fun, the prizes were actually a) useful and b) affordable, so it wasn't a drag to try and rack up enough points/money to purchase the item you want. (Unlike the Battle Frontier). I also loved how they incorporated Aprijuice, that was cool. Even if I didn't use it much myself. :P
     
    I loved this little thing. It was really fun to play through, especially the Relay Run and Block Smash minigames. Glad the stones weren't too much of a pain to get nor too boring but it was frustrating to come into the shop and see that they didn't have the stones I wanted in stock.. but of course that's not the fault of the Pokeathlon, haha.

    Would play it again and again.
