I can see the elemental monkey gimmick working if the trio was more memorable and likable, but it seems the general consensus isn't too positive towards them overall. 😅 There's just... nothing too special about them!

I don't care enough about Pansear to belabor the point but,

They shouldn't have been. Instead of Pansear and Panpour, they could've made Pokemon based on dolphins or something.

They're based on the 3 Wise Monkeys - See No Evil, Hear no Evil, Do no Evil - (besides also being based on Japanese yankees), being a monkey is inherently part of their cultural reference, it couldn't have worked if they were dolphins.
