Watchog definitely got discarded.
I wasn't around when Hypno got discarded, but I see it in the discarded box.

That's also true of another Pokemon in this region called Reuniclus with a richer movepool and more useful abilities. If you need a psychic Pokemon it's the better option than Musharna.

I think the Hypno line and Musharna are actually based on the same thing, a tapir, more specifically the yokai baku that feeds on dreams. I didn't vote for Hypno, but if I had to vote for one I would have voted for Hypno over Musharna becauase at least it's line was the first to utilize this concept, and not a remake. I know Hypno can be unsettling, but so can Musharna, Musharna is just pink.

I think they are in same boat design-wise, but Musharna is just normally asleep and sitting in a position where it's not directly facing the player. When this guy gets up and stares at me full on I think it could fit in comfortably at a tea party besides Drowzee and Hypno, and not look out of place at all.

I have never seen Musharna looking straight-on with eyes open like that, nightmare fuel! It's also pretty amusing though haha
