Do you think a game like that would be worth making for only 10 people? I know it might seem easier to grasp the format but it'll be over before you know it. For these short games its probably best if they're deadly simple, fast-paced and as undemanding on the GM as possible.

I'd definitely make some large changes - primarily removing the currency system (I think I'd only keep that in a 20 or larger person game). Maybe I'll take the middle road and aim for 15 player on my first run through. I'm still really scared to GM x_x

Awh, you'll be OK! There are loads of people around to help if you ever need it :). If you need anything proof read or checked over let me know :c.

I also like making google spreadsheets ;).

By EM style I was more so referring to the speed of how quick it ends and there'd only be one or two power roles kind of setups. I don't know how well the narrative style games would work in that kind of setup but I think if we give it a try then we can figure it out and go from there.

Also, I was thinking twice a month would work well. That way it goes faster than the other queues, but also slow enough that we're not lacking in at least a few games in the queue.

I'm absolutely against the idea for a separate queue for this. True, "tiny" games like these are a lot faster than normal games, but isn't this too drastic? First few days are most always fully random, and with so little people it's a game over already when the random voting phase has passed. In actual EM games you can still try to read other people's behaviors, but on a forum you can use as much time to write a solid post as you want. If you want to keep this special for beginners to learn to play games this way... I don't think there's a solid flow of new beginners to fill up these slots every two weeks.
Don't get me wrong, I don't have anything against it if people want to organize games like these, but preferably not as a regular thing. The small game queue is fast-paced and short enough in order to make your game pass in a not super long time. But I shall be fair: large games are becoming less and less popular and people are talking about tiny games already... I don't like the direction where this is going. :(

Small games was actually originally for that sort of intention but then it became what it is now . So we can add a tiny game queue or rework the current queue it's definitely something worth discussing, nonetheless.

Passing idea but:
Large games (30+)
Medium games (15-30)
Small games (10-15)

Smallike games will be this like em style games, aitc, etc, while medium and large are basically what we have now. The small game queue was created for things like 'assassin in the castle'-esque and less of games that could go into the large game queue but arent in the first place iirc.

Yes, I think having beginner games a bit more common would be a good idea. I'd probably have prioritized one of those had it been available, since the rules for the one I ended up joining seem a bit too complex to start off with >.>

That username name tho. -Hisses-
There can be only one sun!

Joking aside, welcome here to UG, where everything gets momentarily salty, but nothing personal. :P

Hopefully you'll enjoy the salty experience. :D

I apologise for my absence but I'm extremely sick again at the moment and can't guarantee I'll be around. So I think I'm going to have to bow out of any games I'm still alive in.

aeternum is perfectly capable of running Age of Demons himself whilst I'm gone though, so don't worry about that (thanks in advance buddy :P)

When's the next GT?
Gau got us some new members iirc

So I finally found out what this section is. I was pretty confused about it for a while but never actually bothered to read the guidelines.
It looks pretty fun, looking forward to joining any new games. :)

OMG there's a Dungeons and Dragons themed mafia in the queue! Peter, you're a hero! <3

I'm just glad I have a buttload of time to get things sorted! Trying to streamline it to keep things as straightforward as possible.

Atm I think there will be classes, but not races. :c Then dice rolls will affect attack/NA/bonuses.

Can we transfer in characters we've already rolled?? :)

The likelihood is... no. However, I suppose you could end up using the same name (I'd do names like I did for my Golden Hook game).

Lycan helped me out a bit yesterday, switching around classes. I should include a disclaimer that its pretty far removed from D&D by the time its mafia-fied. The dice roll is important, but I'm trying to keep it simple with just a d6 for now.

I still think you should just use this to test the waters of semi-luck based games and add a sequel with the quintuple amount of dice if this appears to work out fine. Oh, and d20s of course. <3
