It had taken quite the melding of pop culture universes, but Pop Culture Asylum was officially open to help rehabilitate famous figures in popular culture. Everyone from worlds as diverse as Harry Potter and That's So Raven to Batman and Austin Powers had carted their most 'problematic' characters here for rest and rehabilitation. Under the specialist supervision of fellow pop culture doctors and nurses, the idea was to bring a sense of normalcy to the craziness of their previous roles. And it was all going to plan... for a few hours.

I was under no curse to be a pirate, nor was my character based on a pirate initially. I just didn't realise Westworld was set in a Western setting till the game started and thought it would be funny. Yarr
