no i meant if a lot of people were in both games at the same time c: like eros said, i think that may be the cause of the low activity in the THG Mafia. which is really sad since for example the non-subscriber Weiss Schnee wasn't included in the end D:
sadly since there's still more players alive in the Supporter Mafia that probably won't get any better either throughout the THG game... ( ´ ▽ ` )ゞ

EDIT: lol woops somehow i completely missed Charlie Brown's post since i only looked at page 5 and thought that was the end of it, haha
but i don't know if there's not a lot to discuss in THG Mafia? admittedly i've never been in a game before but what else would there normally be to discuss but the next Lynch? and eros has already tried to throw in more info through the events to stir up discussion, but of course if the person who gets the info then chooses to withhold it, that doesn't help either :/
 
If you would see the page count for Season 3, we are already 17 pages in. And we're still in Day 3. There's A LOT to discuss about.

Yeah of course, it's difficult when information is given and then withheld :(

Normally night kills are specifically chosen, so the mafia will choose to target x (by voting amongst themselves or by decision of the head mafia, depending on the game, I think), whereas with THG mafia the night kills are random, based on which zone is targeted. So there's one less thing that can be discussed, so then I think it's good that eros is having events and stuff to keep the discussion flowing.
 
um, okay, sorry? what are those things then, and why is it not working in the THG Mafia? all because the Mafia cannot target specific individuals? zomg ninja'd

Yeah like I definitely think you're doing a great job trying to stimulate discussion, I just think most people are just lost that's all :s I don't know how to change that either. Hopefully things will pick up soon though.
 
I guess the hide and seek mechanic kinda threw everyone off. I personally think it's a good system, but I feel it wasn't executed that properly. And how the Mafia doesn't even know who to kill, really. :P
 
to be honest i'm a bit scared that since it's easiest to target active people for lynching, we'll end up killing off everyone who's actually an active part of the discussion, and then it'll die out... ( ´ ▽ ` )ゞ
 
What are your tactics on staying alive for as long as you can?
I don't really have one, at least no working one, as I mostly die very quickly. Out of the first four games I played with my friends, I was a mafia member three times. One of them noted that I'm always mafia because of that and in about every other game I got lynched on the first day just because of that. Later on people found it sad for me to die on the first day every game, so they let me alive at day 1, but I still got lynched on day 2, so that wasn't really much of a difference.
Nowadays, the thought of always killing me has faded a little, but I still die during game. I noted the people getting killed during the day are often the people who are talking and trying to make a vote based on the circumstances. (Or after two or three days, people entirely silent are suspected too.) But, as I often try to use some reason and whip up some discussion, otherwise the game is a lot less fun, I fall in the category of easily suspected people.

Keep calm and keep quiet. Always works as long as I'm not the only quiet one; I have 80% success rate. Tbh I've played so many games that how talkative a player has nothing to do with their roles. I've met chatty mafias and I've met chatty townies (who tend to be dumb and give themselves away to the mafia).

Keeping quiet will never work if gimmepie is around.
 
I think we are missing a huge factor in the slow activity: school is ending. That's contributing to a lot of slowness.
 
Definitely. I'm doing final projects, quizzes and then finals start on Friday.

True, though it took him a while to sniff me out (in Faeries & Demons), though because I wasn't too quiet and there were quieter suspicious people. :3

Be active, be fun to read. The mafia will be more reluctant kill you (unless you're onto one of theirs) and the innocents will be more inclined to trust/defend you. That basically applies to most games ^^

However, if you get too vocal, the innocents might suspect you're trying to lead them somewhere, and/or the mafia might think you're a nuisance and kill you off.

As for the topic of staying alive, I think it's all about balance - being vocal but not too vocal, active but not too active, etc :P quite similar to what Fox said.
