The Wolf Among Us Mafia [Dawn Of The Ninth Day][GAME OVER!]

I bet Nimsy is having a decent laugh reading through these posts.
I gave my alternative, I just have to hope that Mary is on the other side of the mirror watching, and that she actually likes Blind Guardian lmao.

Not helping, I know, but then again chanting nonsense in italics like some kind of insane fanatics isn't gonna help either.

This isn't an event, and it's been pretty well explained. We can also use the mirror multiple times, so it's worth a shot. Or is there a reason that you're against trying to discover the Crooked Man with the mirror?

No particular reason, I just don't believe anything useful will happen. The question asked depends on majority anyway, and a single person is not a majority last time I checked.

I think Naku was referring to Johnny.

Magic Mirror, I'm your biggest fan;
Tell me, who is the Crooked Man?

Agreeing with naku in that I'm afraid this will have consequences, but if there arent any big consequences then this is good.

Also, based on the information we have let's not kill someone today. [Arrest] No one

. . . there's nothing that makes getting an answer from this question "not mafia."

For one thing, as you've said, we can only ask every other day. Honestly, it works well for balancing considering how powerful the mafia is in this game.

And it's never happened because . . . well, the obvious answer being that this is the first role of its kind we've had here, so that'd be kind of awkward if it had already happened.

We can use the mirror once every other day. Do you honestly think that we'll get an answer if we outright ask who the crooked man is? You got your hopes way up, this has never happened and it never will, because otherwise it's not mafia. I'm pretty sure the whole mafia team will be hyped about asking this stupid question, because there's zero chances of us getting a straight answer. They will either roll with it or let the town lead itself to waste this use of the mirror.

Question to everybody: What do you expect to get from that question?

I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had a better alternative that has logic based behind it and is guarenteed to work.

Oh... wait...

Oh dear I seem to have come a bit late today. Please forgive me. ;-;

With that said, it seems we don't have much to go on. We know one person is innocent, that the mafia probably knows who Grendle is, and that we can ask the Mirror a question if we format it properly. We also know another thing: the mafia got two townies last night. The opening post mentions Georgie went out of his way to kill the Woodsman, which likely means he used his ability, and the other kill was probably a normal kill made by the mafia. We also know the mafia seem to have unlisted powers, and somebody has the ability to leave messages.

Moving on to asking the Mirror a question... I'm not entirely sure just outright asking it who the Crooked Man is is going to work. It seems too easy, we have a character that is mafia and is linked to mirrors, and we can only ask it a question every other day so if this doesn't work we have to wait two days to use it again. On the other hand though, we need to figure out how the Mirror actually works, and while we might not get an answer as to who the Crooked Man is, we'll definitely get feedback of some sort giving us an idea as to how it functions and what we can ask it next time. We need to figure out how to use it, and we might as well figure that out now as opposed to waiting until later. So with that, I'll vote and contribute my efforts.

Tell me, who is the Crooked Man?
(and also if he is a Sonic fan
and has worms in his brain pan?)

I'm with johnny in this one. Really we're going to get identity of their leader that easily.
Everyone: Magic Mirror, I'm your biggest fan;Tell me, who is the Crooked Man?

Mirror: Oh ho! Let me tell you he is a man not woman. He is leader of Crooked Crew.

xD

So, same here I'm not saying anything.

Let me clear something up.

This is NOT an event. This is the power of the mirror role.
You can ask the mirror anything you want in the form of a rhyme every other day phase. If a simple majority is not reached, it'll be like no one even asked it anything.

Alright I'm back. For now I'll go along with this.

Magic Mirror, I'm your biggest fan;
Tell me, who is the Crooked Man?

Question to everybody: What do you expect to get from that question?
I think at the very least, it's worth a shot. At worst, we get more information on how to use the mirror than "ask a question in the form of a rhyme".

*busts open the door* 'sup losers

ok so it looks like i'll be doing this

Magic Mirror, I'm your biggest fan;
Tell me, who is the Crooked Man?

and this

VOTE: No Lynch

despite my opening statement, I'm more passive than agressive

i'll go check out the phase change post & see what I can deduce, though I doubt it'll be anything different from anyone else

The least we will gain from this question is a better understanding of how the mirror works. Why are some people getting so riled up about this?

Does this question really make any sense? We're just wasting a good chance of getting some information.

Next time, we should ask this:

Magic Mirror on the wall,
we ask thee, before our fall
Reveal to us who is our threat,
So we can lynch them and eat baguettes

If we ever wanna nl, this is our chance. Because after today, I really don't think is the best of ideas to handle the lynch and trust ONE person's judgement. That would be a good thing in other games, but this particular game is a little bit mafia-sided like I said. If we keep nl'ing we're not gonna discuss or point fingers, and we'll decrease our chances to make the mafia slip-up, which is how we actually catch them.
I actually agree with Johnny here.

Hey look I have a pretty decent (albeit surprising) town read already! (hint: it's Johnny)

I think it's less that he's saying it would ruin the game/make it "not mafia" and more that he's saying that it would be a "too easy" sort of thing if it revealed someone outright. Johnny can correct me if I'm wrong here though.
I'm sorry, I didn't realize you had a better alternative that has logic based behind it and is guarenteed to work.

Oh... wait...
I kind of don't like this jab

What do you think of him then?
The opening post mentions Georgie went out of his way to kill the Woodsman, which likely means he used his ability, and the other kill was probably a normal kill made by the mafia.
This is interesting. Gonna elaborate on why later.

Also, I'm not going to follow along with the the Crooked Man question, if only because I think asking who killed Kiyo (the Woodsman) would be a better option.

and [arrest] no one

I'll sing along.

It might not even be as overpowered as we think. Maybe we'll only receive a hint or a riddle. There's only one way to find out!

I agree, I think it wont be like... who's mafia and snap, here you go.
That would be OP, I doubt that would happened.
