That just makes me wonder what the purpose of these even is then... like there's other counting forum games where you can just hang out and talk about random stuff... and it's not like 'losing' or 'winning' in this is gonna make anyone change their mind on the matter in the thread title.

Yeah, I can see that. I think the problem is that this type of thread is kind of a remnant from back when people were content to just spam numbers. The original version of this thread was very popular back then. But it also was mostly people spamming numbers for pages on end.

This has, of course, changed. And we can let these threads be put to rest and try out something else, if you people want.

I mean, if you want we could start a new game. But there should at least be a couple people who want to play until the end.

I used to participate in a bunch of Werewolfes games (Mafia but with a fantasy setting). That was on a different forum. Were had some people who were really invested in roleplaying. So you would end up with walls over walls text of people exploring and interacting with each other.

The regular version of that usually is a lot more simple, though.

Mafia keeps being talked about, and then again, and again, but nothing ever seems to happen. I'm honestly not sold on the fact that PC (or any forum) has enough interest to make it work right now but who knows.
