lolwut? Has CNBC lost their minds? Twilight is not a horror film as romance is closer than that. Article can be viewed here.

[PokeCommunity.com] Twilight 8th Highest Grossing HORROR Film?

    Please discuss!

Maybe they figure that: vampires + blood + werewolves = horror?

idk, but I'm somewhat surprised, if only because everyone knows that Twilight is a romance series, whether they're a fan of it or not.

Also, this belongs in Culture and Media, so there it moves.

How is Twilight a horror movie franchise? Just because it has vampires and werewolves and all those other "scary" stuff that didn't even considered scary... oh pleeeeease. *facepalm*

    AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH [/rage]
IT ISN'T HORROR! IT IS HORRIBLY BAD ROMANCE.

Since horror is my favourite genre, that is a complete insult.

Anything that's certified 12+ is considered horror now because little kids might be frightened by it.

But yeah, it's not liking being a "highest grossing film" actually means anything anyway.

Semi-related; I've never been on the CNBC site before now, and I must say it looks horrible.

Well, to be fair, having to sit through Twilight is enough to give you nightmares.

Ugh. The Twilight movie doesn't deserve to be 8th highest grossing movie in any genre, but it being considered horror is 10 times more ridiculous. Doesn't everyone and their grandmothers know about Twilight by now? You'd think someone would point out that it's not scary at all nor was it written to be scary.

    Again, ugh.

(I applaud the many jokes made on why it's in horror, though.)

I think that I probably just had the biggest facepalm that I've ever had in my life. I'm sure that it's not scary at all. I could possibly understand it being the 8th highest grossing romance film, but horror? Why? -_-

It's horrific how awful this movie is. But I can't really say the movie is bad. I've never seen it. Judging the book, it's okay. The writing had it's flaws, and it sounds like a badly written fan-fiction more than a bestseller romance novel.

As for the genre, that's a load of crock. Horror movies are, I 'unno, supposed to scare you? I suppose I would be scared if I had to watch it, but I digress.

    What a horrorble decision.

The only thing scary about the movie is how bad it is.

Well, there's another reason for me to hate twilight. In no way it is a horror film. I had to go see this monstrosity of a film with my ex-girlfriend and I can agree with you in that it was meant to be a romance film, not a horror

What are you guys talking about? This series is downright terrifying. It's about an obsessive stalker vampire that stalks a doormat girl that turns out to be just as obsessed with him. And while they're being generally obsessed with each other, another obsessive stalker jumps into the picture and then it's an obsessive stalker love triangle. The series depicts their unhealthy affection for each other and the consequenc-

Oh, wait, what was that? We're actually supposed to find this movie romantic? We're not supposed to find Edward creepy? ... Oh, well, never mind then.
