Anime/Manga uguu?

Steins;Gate just seems kinda amusingly dumb from all the clips I've seen.

i still have a question, who named this thread "uguu"? I'm suddenly reminded of every female anime character's onomatopoeia vocabulary ever (kyaaaa, ooooohhh, uguuuu, yuki yuki, darling)

Tapioca is responsible for the name.

If you can't get enough Uguu, there is an Android app called the Uguunator. :P

... and I'm pretty sure none of those technically qualify as onomatopoeia. Verbal tics for a few of them, maybe.

and of course that famous "Daga-otoko-da" (totally misspelled that) or Okabe's admiration to Urushibara Ruka (Best trap)
I'm pretty sure it was "Demo" since it was "But he's a guy..."
Daga is from "Daga kotowaru!" (I hereby decline) from Jojo which Assistant used once as a 4channer.

Hm...seem's it's got a pretty solid sub and dub cast.

Though, considering it has that one character from that one Clamp work with the great VA, I'd personally go with the dub just for that one voice alone (and Colleen, 'cuz she plays a mean Riza Hawkeye). Dat Nana Mizuki, tho.

And once again, Laura Bailey's nowhere to be seen /sigh. Seems I can't have my HanaKana in anime, anymore :/

Tehe~ :P
And I still have my HanaKana :P You should finally cross to the correct side =D

Talking about the only VO I know by name, didn't something happen? Some people were raging she wasn't dubbing (um... maybe I should say voiced, since Atlus USA) Rise in P4DAN.

Yeah, I dunno. Supposedly there were problems with her schedule P4DAN, but it seems like nowadays she's doing more Western stuff. Hell, the only expressly Japanese thing she did in 2015 was "When Marnie was There". No word on why, exactly, it just happened. Considering the Voice Actor income petition, though, it probably had to do with pay.

But regarding that, I don't really think I could be a subs-only guy for a lot of reasons. With that in mind, it'd be lovely if I could learn Japanese so I wouldn't need subs. That would be a godsend. One day, though. One day.

right now i am attempting to find good anime to watch, sort of like kotoura-san (might have spelled it wrong), where it can be serious at times. does anyone have any like those? sorry ;w;
From what I can gather from a google search of Kotoura-san, Kokoro Connect, definitely.

Unless we're just talking about serious (at times) anime in general, but I mean...it'd be easier to tell you about anime that aren't ever serious than ones that are. So yeah, I'd say Kokoro Connect's a good one for you.

Is anyone else picking up Dagashi Kashi? All I've seen is the previews and the main reason I'm interested is Hotaru lol. It's about Japanese candy which I know nothing about, but depending how the show goes it may maintain my interest.

Well, IIRC, it's going to be a short (slightly disappointed if that is indeed the case), but I will be picking it up. Source material is pretty fun.

Since it took me three weeks to catch on that my dear Tapioca was away, I've (finally) updated the category tags to include Winter 2016. Woops.

On another note I haven't even checked the list of anime for this season yet because I'm mostly a word-of-mouth type of person. Once something starts airing and people begin recommending it is when I'll probably start.. lol. But I definitely need to get back into DRRR since Ketsu is coming out. .-.;

Yaay! Thank you Sheep! Hope Tapioca comes back soon though - A&M isn't the same without our main character :c

Much excitedness for the new season coming out - so much I want to watch and I still have one thing left from this season which is The Perfect Insider.

I'm liking what Spring 2016 has to offer.

Koutetsujou no Kabaneri looks promising so hopefully this one delivers. The cover art is pretty nice and reading the overall summary got me hooked to see what will happen.

Then there's the anime adaptation of Ace Attorney so definitely checking that one out.

Jojo Part 4 will definitely be my highlight. As a bonus, i just started re-reading Jojo part 4 just to be prepared.

Hundred and Joker Game are two things that i may watch in the sidelines.

As for the OVA/ONA/Special side of things, there's Under the Dog and the main protag's name is Hana. I like the name "Hana"

Well, then you should stop watching dubs and start watching subs :P
Getting adapted to heard Japanese to the way you don't need subs is pretty doable just by sub watching.

I'm not sure about this... On one hand, I want to watch it for Ayacchi, but on the other hand, I don't really like the animation that much.

I finally started watching Your Lie in April today, and I'm already 17 episodes in! So far this anime is absolutely stellar. I like the artstyle, the first OP is an absolute eargasm, and the story is super beautiful. Why didn't I watch this anime when it aired...

It already had its fair share of emotional bits, so if it's already been this feelsy, just how is the end going to be.

Shigatsu is definitely one of my favourites from the 2014-2015 year. It's probably the closest anime I've gotten to actually crying that's not sports related xD gaa as a Pianist I had the relative feels to that anime ;-; I wish something as good as that comes out this year.

Why didn't I watch this anime when it aired....

Because now you can absorb the feels in one go instead of having to wait a week xD

This is exactly why I let some anime get away from me, and then marathon like 7 eps in a row.
