Uh staff and guys... Is there something we can do about this?

Yeh I might just suggest it gets removed or at least a toggle to remove

When I first saw it, I recognized it as a signature from someone else, couldn't recall from who though.~
Then the owner himself showed up! {XD}

And oops, a disastrous image finally showed up, better report it if it's real. ;)

EDIT: It is. Here's my instant reaction
Spoiler:

But I couldn't find that image from the thread. Bizarre.

Oh so having Adblock on makes it so nothing appears in the 'you may also like' bit? Was wondering why I've never seen anything there.

I was originally not worried about anything like this bothering me but when Pokemon Rocket Strike came up there was a little issue i had with the image it used it wasnt exactly appropriate and next to it there was some image with a gun so that was pretty random oh and for pokemon dark rising theres just a animal as the pic so its alittle random with some of the images haha

Oh shit some people are actually using Sky High

I didn't even notice this feature because I had Adblock haha. Would there be a way to fix this or would the new feature have to be removed altogether?

The only thing that can be done is just have the feature appear as a list without the images, I am personally not in favor of having features in the beta testing phase to be removed. I like seeing new things implemented to enhance the user experience.

All in all, if you don't like it, install adblock for your prefered browser and you'll never see it again. I am going to mention that, as a reminder, Steve did say that it is "learning", so it will be a matter of time and patience, so there should not be much to worry about. And I have a feeling that it is just going to be showing threads from the ROM Hacking Hub Section, as it is the forums most popular section.

I do NOT think the onus should be on the members to block a forum feature that is potentially displaying unsuitable images. Plus, as has been mentioned, some people disable their ad-blocking here in order to give us a bit more revenue, and they should not have to choose between being nice and hiding the unavoidable unsuitable images.

I can't imagine that the Google bot can learn what is an appropriate image to use. It may learn to display things from other parts of the forum besides ROM Hacking, but there's no way it can learn that the images reported in this thread are bad and shouldn't be used. We can't possibly get rid of all the bad images (i.e. do half the bot's job for it), and we really don't want at all a period of time in which the image is being shown around before it can be removed.

Many or indeed most threads on this forum don't have images in them. When the bot learns to start listing those, what's it going to do for their images? It'll either fall back to some default image, or find some completely random image; in both cases, it's pointless having the images display at all.
