Now, all i have to do is make sure it doesnt reach 31 lol. until i get my next badge. This seems fun, i enjoy Monotypes so if you'll have me i'll do a Fire Red Psychic monotype and update. I would do a playthrough of the original red as it is my favorite of the games but unfortunatly it's died on me and no longer saves. Also since abra is the first Psychic type obtained is pumping it up to level 16 with a starter before dumping it ok?
Name: TarMac
IGN: Con
Game: Fire Red
Type: Psychic
This is what I did so far:
-Chose charmander as a starter
-Got pokeballs and pokedex
-Caught pidgey and trained it to lv12
-Caught rattata and trained it to lv10
-Beat gary
-Went to viridian forest
-Beat brock by spamming tail whip and sand attack
-Over trained rattata and evolved it.
-Went through Mt.Moon
-Pidgey evolved
-Beat Misty
-Beat Gary Again
-Got the SS.Anne Ticket
I beat Burgh, The Castelias gym leader. Whirlipede crunched, Dwebble hidden powered, of course it survived with sturdy another hidden power, Leavanny, dificult its faster and struggle bug brings down my sp atk so it took 4 hits. I got the badge and headed into the sandstorm. Beat Bianca no problem. Beat Cheren after entering the route no problem. I didnt do any exploring, just on the road again. Im in Nimbasa for maybe 20-30 minutes and i have a badge; yay. Elesa wasnt too hard Demon's crunch took all of them out 1HKO even Zebstrika......with a crit. Anywho starting towards Driftveil and fight Cheren again, you'd think he would give up. Demon learned Dragon Pulse after beating his Liepard. Then i Dragon Pulsed the rest of his team. Kinda sad really. Talked to Alder entered the double battle and i thought that it would be funny if Cheren talked all big and bad and have all his pokemon faint; lol. I dragon pulsed them but i took a sheite load of damage from take down spam from the children's Herdier. He still talked like he had anything to do with the win. Beesterd. Take credit where credit is due, ohh well it cant be helped. Crossed the bridge and caught team plasma blah.. blah.. blahhh......... Battling Clay alright. Up until now i had eviolite attached to Demon so it didnt take much damage but his Excadrill is a BEAST against my Demon so i used the rocky helmet i obtained near the pier. I used dragon rage to take out a 3rd of its hp and he did the rest i spammed moo moo milks. Excadrill went down and i had it made beat Clay and went through chargestone cave no problem. I WANT AN AXEW!!! I'm tired of soloing a Deino. As soooon as i get surf im getting an axew but i gotta beat Skyla 1st. Toodles. :)
Demon Lv. 47 Lucky Egg
Crunch
Dragon Rage
Hidden Power
Dragon Pulse
I pc'd Snivy so i wouldnt have an urge to fodder it to heal demon or something else related.
Blissy's Normal Ultimate Monotype Challenge! -Gold Version
Chapter 11 - FALCON PAWNCH!
After some grinding, my team is slightly decent. I've learned my mistake from Yellow, so I'm gonna start overleveling. Anyway, it's time to head to Violet City. I might grind a bit more at Sprout Tower since my recently caught Tuff Puff (Jigglypuff) is only Level 5, so she needs training. Sprout Tower was no fun at all. Wanda died against the sage, and Tuff Puff learned Pound at last. Now...Falkner is gonna get owned. Well...Hoot got owned during my battle with Falkner, but he got his high class ownage best served on an ownage platter. Nwehehehe! Short update, but that's all for now.
This concludes this chapter of my Normal Ultimate Monotype Challenge.
I feel like this game is going very fast and I'm having fun with it so thats good. It helps having a set goal when you play these games. Anyways back to progress. This update is after beating Koga, Silph Co., and Sabrina. Right now my team has five members and thats the way it'll stay. I feel like I'll be done with Blue very soon, anyway heres the team.

Oh and one other thing, I'm catching up to you misteryman1!
In my own mono...
Beat Rival one last time. Now time for Elite Four.
Aaron: Sigh. Took everything I had. Lots of Reviving and stalling while I slowly killed them with Snow Warning. Other moves that got use were Aerial Ace, Rock Slide, Ice Punch, and Earthquake.
Bertha: Thank god I got an easy battle right after Aaron. Didn't break a sweat.
Flint: Back to the hard battles. Wasn't as bad as Aaron, but still tough. Had to do some Revive Stalling.
Lucian: Surprisingly difficult. Crunch OHKO'd Mr. Mime after setting up a light screen, but the other Psychic Pokemon tore me apart. Eventually beat him. On to the champion.
Cynthia: Good god. That sums up this battle. Tried about 5 different strategies, none of which seemed to work. I would have won once, but barely ran out of Revives and Hyper Potions (I needed about 2 more to win).
Spiritomb: Not bad at all. Really easy. Tangrowth and Torterra both outsped him, so I could either 2HKO him with Wood Hammer or Power Whip.
Togekiss: Ouch. Air Slash was painful. Finally I beat it with Abomasnow.
Roserade: Retardedly difficult. Outsped everyone on my team, and Sludge Bomb hit for over half of their health. Eventually beat it I think with EQ when it toxic'd me after I healed off a Sludge Bomb, then it Sludge Bombed and I EQ'd, Full Restored and waited for it to use Toxic again.
Garchomp: Another ridiculous fight. It couldn't do as much to Torterra, though, so I stalled it better.
Milotic: I normally hate fighting these in any generation (but its one of my favorite Pokemon when I have it), but this thing saved my life. Abomasnow could stall thanks to his part Ice Type, so I revived and fully healed everyone that needed it (which was both of my Pokemon). Then one Grass Knot later, voila!
Lucario: Turns out I really only needed to Fully Heal Torterra, because I took Lucario out in one Earthquake. Previously, when he came out earlier, he tore me apart with Aura Sphere.

Chapter 12 - The Ownage Guy has entered the building!
Did some more grinding after getting the Zephyr Badge, but it's time to move onward to the next area, where I only did a short grinding session to get my party up to Level 11, not counting the egg for obvious reasons. Anyway, after healing up at the Pokemon Center, its time for Union Cave. Wonderful, huh? A short cave area. Fine. Let's do this fast. Wow...I got owned in most of those battles, but I'm free from that hell. Now I can finally reach Azalea Town. Gasp! A well! Cool. Although, I'll save Azalea Town for later.
This concludes this chapter of my Normal Ultimate Monotype Challenge.
GSC Ice, here I come! Posting very minimal screenshots because I'm lazy.
Here's screenshots of evolutions and gym/e4 fights. Apparently I forgot Karen:
Spoiler:
And my team:
Spoiler:
All that's left to do now is quickly run through Kanto, get Psychic for Jynx (and let it learn Body Slam), and get Curse and Double Team for Piloswine in Celadon. Then some E4 runs to get some levels, and then finally Red! Should finish this up around 4:00 today.
