Ultimate Monotype Challenge Update #4

-Caught my newest team member, Snorlax
-Went to Fuchsia City
-Gonna getmy final party member in the Safari Zone, then head to Saffron City to take on team rocket
-But first, I have a slight problem, other pokemon are catching up to my party in terms of levels, so if I want to stay on top I'm gonna have to do a lot of training for everyone to be at least level 40

I accidently lost my game file and I was at the Elite Four!!! OMG!!

Anyone know of a way to undo something on VBA or like get a saved file back? UGH!

Oh well.... I guess I'll start a diffrent typer now....

Could I possibly hack myself there.....or would that be unfair?

Sigh. I know what you're going through. Its happened to me before, and it feels bad.

I wouldn't mind you hacking back to where you were, but if you're doing an Ultimate Challenge, you'll have to talk that over with Alakazam17. She controls your fate.

Also, funny lisdexic story, I definitely read that as HUGGGG! the first time and thought "that's not an appropriate cry to accompany what happened!"

Update Uno

Spoiler:

-Started game, named self Lloyd, named rival Dean.
-Chose Charmander (obviously) as my starter Pokemon.
-Battled Dean, won, Charmander moved up a level.
-Went to pick up Oak's parcel.
-Delivered Oak's parcel, collected Pokedex, collected map, headed back toward Viridian.
-Trained Charmander a bit, battled rival again, beat him once more. (he's always so easy to beat in the beginning.)
-Entered Viridian Forest.
-Made my way through the forest, trained Charmander to Lvl 13 along the way.
-Entered Pewter City.
-Trained Charmander to Lvl 16.
-Charmander evolved into Charmeleon.
-Challenged Brock, with Metal Claw it was an easy win.
-Left Pewter City and headed toward Mt. Moon.
-Made my way through Mt. Moon, trained Charmeleon to Lvl 25 along the way.
-Entered Cerulean City.
-Battled Dean once more. It was an easy win since my Charmeleon was over leveled and I managed to one hit his Squirtle.
-Trained until Charmeleon was Lvl 29.
-Took on Misty, who was surprisingly easy to defeat.
-Currently heading toward the next town.

Anyway, getting back to my challenge I have no updates; I did find something to sell quite a long time ago, but I've been, well, hypnotized by Brown and I'm more up to playing Brown than Emerald for now, as the only thing that I would be capable of if I played Emerald would be to grind, as I'm toast if I challenge Wattson. Doesn't mean I'm giving up though; I'll update as soon as Wattson gets what he DESERVES!

Maybe you could train Nincada a bunch since he's part ground type? Use Flash a bunch so that they can't hit you?

For me, I started Sapphire. Named myself Aqua, got Mudkip, caught a Snorunt on Rt. 201 or whatever the first route is. Blah blah beat Roxanne and the Grunt in Rusturf Tunnel.

I just realized how much RSE is hatin on Ice Types. Ice has 4 weaknesses (Fire, Fighting, Rock, Steel). 3 of those are gyms, and the fourth one is the champion. >.<

Forgot the Roxanne screenshot, so boohoo.

Brawly: Lots of double teams, leers, Icy Winds, and Bites. Learned Headbutt after I defeated Makuhita. That would have come in handy right before I fought him...

Well...now it's time to really get some stuff done. Ok...I went to Kurt's, and learned about Team Rocket, so I headed to the Slowpoke Well to do something about it. I owned all the Rocket Grunts, and now it's time to own Bugsy.

Chapter 2 - Brock's Rock Hard...Rock Types.
Well...been a while since I last played Leaf Green, but if I remember correctly, it's time for Viridian Forest...I think. Anyway, Buddy got a ton of level ups, and I got some training in. Pewter Gym wasn't tough at all. It was a total pushover of a gym. Now...Brock was easy too, so I got the very first badge at last.

This concludes this chapter of my Grass Ultimate Monotype Challenge.​

Wattson Strategy: Double Team up on Magnemite, heal, spam Bite/Headbutt and watch him flinch. Icy Wind Voltorb, repeat Magnemite strategy on Magneton. For some reason Magneton only used Thunder Wave, which always missed me. I was expecting some difficulty with Shock Wave, but there was just no way.

Flannery Strategy: Double Team up on Slugma. Overheat almost killed me in one hit, but it didn't, so when I healed, the next one just took me to yellow. The next one missed and the third barely took me out of green. After that no more attacks hit me.

Next up: Snorunt evolves, I take on a super easy 6th Gym, and I get my other team member (hint, its the only other Ice Type in the game that's not legendary.)

Edit: Nobody's done anything in an hour and a half, so I'll just have to edit this post. I'm going to keep going til I beat this challenge tonight...
Stuff happened, I beat 3 Gyms and caught Spheal who soon evolved into Sealeo, I beat Aqua in their Hideout.

Update for Ultimate Monotype Challenge (Dark).

Update #2 on Diamond.

I still hate the roundabout plot of Diamond and Pearl, the early gyms are far apart, and the later ones are close together. Platinum is much better in that respect. The only reason I'm playing Diamond is because Murkrow and Skunky aren't in Platinum.

• Got to Veilstone and beat Maylene pretty easily - I did have to use all three members in the end.
• Got Fly, then went down to Pastoria both ways.
• Beat Wake, then went to Celestic Town and got Surf.
• Surfed around a bit, then beat Fantina with 3 Shadow Balls from Freaky.
• Went to Canalave City and Iron Island, then Hazmat swept Byron mostly with Flamethrower.
• Beat Saturn and Mars at the lakes.
• Trudged to Snowpoint and beat Candice easily.
• Flew back to Veilstone and found the Dusk Stone - Boss evolved into Honchkrow!
• Saved in the TG Warehouse.

Done with Sapphire Ice. I really didn't have any problems with the Elite Four. Cornflower swept Sydney, Bondi swept Phoebe, Cornflower Stalled Glacia, Cornflower destroyed Drake, I used Rare Candies and DoubleTeamHaxed Steven. The only moves that hit Bondi were Aerial Aces from Skarmory.
