I should be able to have the first stream up by uhhh...4:00 Central? Which is like...9 pm for the Europeans and super early for Australians. Not to worry, if anyone can't make it to that time, I can always do Saturday at around 5 pm London time, because I'm off. Unfortunately I have to work on Friday morning.

so, today is the eve of the Animal Crossing Movie Weekend! keep an eye on this thread (and maybe the skype group if you're in it) for screening times, hosted by our very own lovely Axeliira. thanks so much for that again c:

the Animal Crossing Movie was made in the time of Wild World, and thus most references pertain to that game specifically. still, since Animal Crossing is hasn't changed that much as a franchise, i'm quite sure even newer players will enjoy watching it!
and if you have played Wild World... prepare for a whole bunch of nostalgic touches - specifically with regard to the music, i'd say. c: get excited, everyone!

so.
as you may know, there was a brand new Nintendo Direct yesterday, featuring a bunch of Animal Crossing content - though not at all what was expected! announced were of course the Mario Kart 8 Animal Crossing DLC pack, with a race track, characters, and karts. but then also a completely new game called Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, accompanied by Animal Crossing Amiibo Cards!
after scanning the Amiibo cards, you will be able to design a room for the villager on the card, according to their wishes, and then scan other cards to hang out with the villagers as you would normally. it'll be released in the fall of this year!

What do you think of the new announcements? Are you excited for Happy Home Designer? Will you be getting the Amiibo cards? Discuss!

The Mario Kart DLC looks amazing the course looks great and the Vespa style Scooter looks really fun.

One other Animal Crossing-related DLC I'm also waiting for is the one for Monster Hunter 4 Ultimate. You can dress your Felyne companions like Isabelle and Resetti. I have no idea when it'll be released, however. Sometime in the future...

as for the topic, i wonder too, how they're going to release this game exactly? i'd assume an eShop title and then you can buy the cards separately? i'm quite excited for it actually. c: it seems fun! decorating rooms for villagers. and i was also particularly excited to see that rugs could actually be used as rugs instead of covering the entire floor by default, haha.

the Mario Kart content was adooorable too! sadly, i don't have a Wii U or the money to buy one at the moment, so for me it'll probably stay at looking at gameplay videos for the time being ( ´ ▽ ` )ゞ but it looked really great!

sadly i didn't know about the Animal Crossing Felyne costumes for MH4U at all! thanks for pointing them out. especially the accompanying video was hilarious (ノ＞▽＜。)ノ they fit so well and yet not at all... but they're so great! if i ever play MH4U i'll be sure to get those for my Felynes, hehe. c:
