Well today i picked up Pokemon Red from the eshop, so now i have a game from Gen 1. Feels so good to be owning the very first pokemon game in existance and wont be the ONLY ONE NOT HAVING IT!!

What's the most indie band you guys know of. Show how hipster you are.

Avatar? Signature? Hipster?

You guys all use such strange words.

i don't really listen to bands at all tbh. my favourites are probably either ember island or the wombats.

i find bon iver just ok, or maybe a bit less. a 4/10 in my books. but, again, generally don't listen to bands. BUT the birdy version of 'skinny love' is beautiful.

I don't listen to very many bands anymore either; my music taste changed to favour soundtracks and solo artists...and most of the bands I liked as a teenager either changed their lineup or split up.

I don't think I like particular genres of music, I just like a mish-mash of stuff and there's no pattern to it.

I used to like mainstream pop music as a kid... but now I find it just awful to listen to, and that's why I discovered the alternative music world and found so many new faves.

God, I almost miss 90s pop. Almost.

Modern pop music gives me a headache. I wonder if that's a sign I'm getting old - my parents said exactly the same thing about the stuff I used to listen to...

Oh gosh, my taste in music is extremely varied. Nowadays, I'm a fan of almost everything (with the exception of country, it was never really my cup or tea). I will listen to everythig from Björk to Death Grips, TBH.

I have walking, waking up, writing, and pick-me-up playlists, as well as a current favourites because iTunes is absolutely useless at picking songs I feel like listening to and I can't be bothered to micro-manage it most nights...I'd never get anything done. xD

To be honest, I listen to mostly soundtracks (game, film, anime... but especially game music), some classical, and select favorites from the 1970s-1990s. Unfortunately, I somewhat dislike some contemporary music that is played at my work place, because it's played over and over again... and sometimes the music is too loud to hear some customers very well.

I listen to so much music at this point that it's hard to keep track. I'll also listen to pretty much anything even though there are plenty of things I really don't like. but usually there's something in every genre for me as long as it isn't, like, bro-country, or whatever Imagine Dragons are. the attitude that modern pop uniformly sucks is kind of misguided, but obviously different strokes for different folks. I used to think that way so I get it. I Get It. I Really Do. but yeah I listen to a lotta things.

donkey kong country 2 bgmmmmm <3 excellent for coding
I haven't even played those games but I have been around youtube enough to realize that the music in that game is goddamn good O:

I have a ton of different playlists too~! Spotify has lovely pre-made playlists also, and a "Weekly Discovery" with hand picked songs for you that most often work surprisingly well with your tastes.

Except for the past two weeks. I think I've been listening a bit too much to a friend's particular playlist and my weekly has been influenced by it.... lol
