yikes, sorry about the delay on this one Welcome one and all to the third week of Franchise DEATH BATTLES where we are going to show what video game franchise PC likes the most! This will take a couple of weeks/months to complete, and thus, you will get to choose between much video game franchises to see your favourites! Now, if you'd like to see what this is all about, feel free to read the rules below:

Spoiler:

- Every week, there will be a poll attached, with different video games. Each thread will have different video games from different franchises and from different companies like Nintendo, Sega, Capcom, and so on.
- You are not restricted to one vote - you can vote as many video game favourites as you like!
- In the event of a tie at the end of the week, I, Aura Blackquill will have the tie-breaking vote, just to have a clear winner!
- Frequent voters will receive an emblem featuring the winning video game at the end!
- Feel free to explain who you voted for, and why on this thread!
- Any questions? Feel free to ask me in VMs or PMs!

So, as said, this week will focus on the Ubisoft franchises, so choose your favourite Square-Enix series of games, and the winner will be posted on Monday, February 18th! Note: If there is ANY franchise that I've missed that you feel should be up here, please say so BEFORE you vote, and I'll add it up there.

It'd definitely have to be Assassin's Creed for me; I just love the series. My most favorite game from it is AC II. Personally, I found its story to be quite emotional. :) Second favorite is probably Rayman, with Far Cry being the third. Haven't played much FC games, but from the ones I did, it seems to be a pretty amazing series.

Either way, Rayman if I had to pick just one by far. It's the one big series Ubisoft didn't screw up on...yet.

Thank the based Michael Ancel for having so much freedom over this franchise. Except the whole Wii U fiasco last year.

Voted for Far Cry. Haven't played Rayman yet and they screwed up Prince of Persia.

I would probably go for Assassin's Greed (xD) even though I haven't played it because of how it's famous but since there's HoMM, I have to go for that =)

Well having to choose between 1 ( and there are many, many good series here) I ended up picking No More Heroes. It's not necessary the best series of the bunch, because it does has it's problems, but it's just one of those games that trys it's best to try something new. It's also one of the few series here that I've played the whole series off. I would of voted Far Cry, but I've only played 3 and Blood Dragon, and while those games are really great, I don't have any experience with Far Cry 1 and 2 and I've heard that they are pretty different.

The only other game here I've played is Assassin's Creed, but I haven't finished a single game.

the first two games were absolutely phenomenal while Origins was very meh... honestly I chose it over Far Cry seeing that I didn't really enjoy the second (didn't play the first) entry of the series. While I really enjoyed Far Cry 3 i'd pick Arkham City over it any day of the week.

I chose Prince of Persia. I love the fighting sequence and the puzzles. Also it includes a bit of freerunning which I am a big fan of :3

And every game seems to become better than the previous one. Sooo... hat's off for that one, Ubisoft :)

The fact that the Prince isn't even in the picture offends me. The Sands of Time trilogy is absolutely amazing.

When you think about it, it's the only non-Nintendo platformer series that actually rivals Nintendo's very own. And that's pretty damn respectable, considering platforming is purest video game genre.
It's also the one Ubisoft series that doesn't have a mediocre game.

Tbh, Rayman Legends on the Wii-U is one of the main reasons why I actually want a Wii-U so badly. I honestly never played much Rayman games before but playing the demo in EB Games really made me like it. But I haven't played enough of it for me to give it my official vote unlike Prince of Persia where I played tons of it, even the original game, haha.

Most of these games are not my style. I have never liked first person shooter, except for a few games like resident evil, which are more about atmosphere and resourcefulness of ammo/items, rather than a shoot-em-up game. Not to say, they are bad games, I just personally don't enjoy the type.

Two games that I do like in this list are Prince of Persia and No More Heroes. I slightly prefer No More Hereos . The aestetic is beautiful! The storyline and dialogue is pretty damn entertaining as well. Too bad the game is so underrated, or at least not popular as it deserves to be.

Aww whoops, forgot about Rayman. I voted for Heroes of Might and Magic - it's one of the best game franchises I've ever played and each game from it has endless replay value. My favourite edition was actually Heroes IV despite the later releases having been well received, but IV was a nice break from the normal flow of the games and provided a lot of interesting new concepts to the game. The maps were great, the story missions were fun, the hero classes were interesting, and the towns/armies were diverse - me and my brother spent countless days and months playing this game haha.

My vote goes to Batman on this.

Arkham Asylum was great. Arkham City was even better! But Arkham Origins was bit, meh.

Arkham Asylum came with one of the best combat systems in a game like this. You can see the similarities in a lot of games ( ex. Sleeping Dogs, Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance.). It's fluent, responsive and fits the game perfectly.

Although Assasin's Creed was a series I enjoyed, it went downhill after Revelations for me. ( Please consider that this is my opinion) AC3 didn't offer anything new and Connor was just, ugh. Haytham was a great character but Connor was just bad. ( Can't say much for AC4, didn't play it.)

Rayman is a great series but I've never been a fan of platformers, sorry.

Can't say anything about the other games. I didn't play them. ._.
