Welcome to 2006.

I thought this thread was about what PC looked like in 2006, but clearly I am wrong.

I don't feel like I'm stuck in any past year. In fact, I am very grateful for a new year and am looking forward to what the rest of 2016 has to offer.

Not really feeling "stuck" in a decade, but I do miss the years 1999, 2010 and 2013. These where good years, when I was feeling good about myself and U knew who I was. Can't say the same now, but that's not as bad as some other years. I wonder how 2016 will be... 2015 was "Meh", not that bad but not that good too.

The worst year for me was 2005 so no I don't feel like in 2005 anymore, and I don't want to go back there XD

I've kinda stopped noticing the years change since 2006, actually. Rather than "same ****, different day" it's more "same ****, different year" for me, especially over the last two years where I've not been allowed to get a job due to my health. I try and use the New Year as a chance to approach things with a more positive mindset, but I don't really FEEL any different.

In terms of good and bad years...2013 was the last good year. 2014 and 2015 were both awful. Since 2011 and 2012 were both pretty bad years for me too and 2010 was one of the best years I've had, I'm hoping 2016 will be an improvement. One good year every three isn't so bad, I guess.

I'm trying to take in the fact that 2006 was 10 years ago.

I still put 2010 on my exams

Given how much has happened in 2015 I feel up to date now. I'm glad 2015 is finally over so I can start fresh for 2016! But yeah, it's usually when the years are mundane that I don't really feel them pass.

I feel like 2010 - late 2013 was just a blur honestly lol. I think it may have been because that's when I was in college and that took up a lot of time, but yeah it's a bit of a weird feeling. Also doesn't feel like 2016, I still have to stop and remind myself to write '16 when I date things now.

That reminds me how slow my mother is to adapting to a just-arrived new year as well. I literally have to always help her write 16 at the end just to remind her it's 2016.
