I forgot that Mega Altaria has Pixilate, doh. It's probably better off running Return > Dragon Claw, I would think. Otherwise, it's walled by literally every Fairy-type out there.

Given its balanced offenses I can see it running either Hyper Voice or Return, but I still think the Pixilated moves will get preferred over the Dragon moves due to the aforementioned Fairy-types that Dragon moves can't hit.

I could see one of the popular Mega Altaria sets running Dragon Dance + Return + Earthquake and then maybe one other filler move... Cotton Guard perhaps? Earthquake is likely to get use to get around most things that resist Fairy, but some stuff still walls the set, like Fire/Poison/Steel-types with Flying-type or Levitate.

Roost or Fire Blast are the main options in the last slot on Dragon Dance Mega Altaria, the former for sustainability, while the latter lets Altaria lure in Steels that don't care about Earthquake, like Scizor and Skarmory.

Scizor and Skarmory tend to be its main concerns but still, it's always hard deciding to settle for recovery or the ability to get past stuff that would wall your STABs when it comes to competitive play. It is cool that we will likely see Mega Altaria running a good variety of sets and you don't see that much with Megas.

It will still be running a lot of different things thanks to its balanced stats, so it's not going to be too predictable.

Beedrill - whomever mentioned it above, is probably my second ORAS mega after Audino. Still trying to get a handle on some of the mons I already had that got megas though. Absolutely looking forward to that 145 base attack stab adaptability poison jab and x scissor tho. Furreal

I think it'll also be the first legit pokemon I've used Fell Stinger on as well.

Mega beedrill is the definition of glass cannon haha. I can't think of a more perfect case of float / take hits like a butterfly, sting like a bee(drill). Priority is its death from anything that's not Mach punch. Even then it won't take that too well. Still better than cryogonal thoooooo

I wanna see a new electric type mega tho :c we didn't get any at all with ORAS did we?

i was personally hoping for something to happen with boomburst flygon ;-;

aerialate boomburst smogon bannnnhammer

I think a Flygon mega would be great; and deserved... but electric totally got shafted, and I think Flygon's two types received the most new megas of any two types already hahah. Maybe that's why they ignored it.

PERSONALLY. If Flygon got a mega, I'd hope it would be bug dragon.

I think I might be the only person on this site that doesn't want a Flygon mega.

You're not alone. I don't want Flygon to be ruined by some overpowerd mega, thank you very much.

Totally true. I am happy with what we got in OR/AS anyway, and basically a Mega Flygon is just only something that the Flygon fans want. I don't think the competitive scene wants a Mega Flygon, and one simple ability change can ruin its main niche compared to the other Ground/Dragon-types and that is Levitate.

I'd just like to point out that Flygon's evolutionary line is the ONLY line to learn bug bite by breeding that's not a bug type. And it's based off a dragonfly.

WHY

FORGET THE MEGA JUST MAKE IT BUG DRAGON ;A;

I just want that typing.
