What do you look for in a game?

As games get bigger and bigger, there are so many different aspects of a game that you can enjoy or you can hate.

There is storyline, graphics, multiplayer, the lasting factor, the challenge and so on. You can play the worlds shortest game, but you love the multiplayer which makes it a great buy and a great game.

So what tantalizes your taste buds and draws you into those games? Maybe you don't know? Maybe you just see a game and know you will love it straight away. Maybe it is a long string of games you have followed before, or maybe you just don't know.

I just look for a game that's fun to play, and a decent challenge. Not too hard to where I want to murder everyone, but hard enough to where I wanna keep trying til I win. Sounds like a good balance. :]

It might sound a bit strange, but music and sound quality can make or break a game for me a lot of the time. It's hard for me to be immersed in a game at all when the voice acting is Chaos Wars quality and circus music is playing when the Big Bad has the Unholy Holy Sword.

for me a game needs to have a brilliant story line...not one thts just thrown together for the sake of it, characters with alot of depth and relatability and an easy to understand and enjoyable control system. Not much to ask is it?? :P

Me too!! I like soundtracks to games that I might potentially want to listen to. Like the Super Meatboy soundtrack (which I am not allowed to link you to yet, just go look it up). That is win.

But for games, I like interesting and novel gameplay (like Portal and Braid) the best, but I'll play a lot of things that are just fun and/or challenging. You know all those casual games you can get in the android market? I may or may not have about half of those on my phone. :3

Oh, and I love the little tiny details that the devs put in games, like in pokemon, your reflections in the puddles.

    Hmm.
Well I can careless about graphics in a game. But if there is good graphics I do have my eyes are shining and be like "wow those are good graphics". But they dont amuse me as I made it sound like. I'd say it has to be easy to control, not the game itself being too easy, I mean the button play where it's easy to control the characters. the soundtrack, the music in games I love to listen to. Idk what else there is. Maybe thats it.

What do you look for in a game?
There are two things I look for in a game: good graphics and an AWESOME storyline. I am picky about both of them. If a game doesn't have one of neither, then basically, the game sucks.

What do you love about games?
I love a game that has an invisible arm that gets me hooked. Basically I like something that makes my brain think fast. Shooter games and Adventure games has that.

What do you hate about games?
I really hate games that have no ending or the storyline is crappy. Also, I really hate the ones with crappy graphics.

What I look for in a game:
    I look for replay value.
For this reason, I'm saving up to get a 3DS & the Street Fighters IV game.
As long as they can get hard, Fighting & Racing games have infinte replay value for me.

    What I LOVE about games:
I love what they did on Marvel vs. Capcom 3:
They managed to balance it to where you ACTUALLY feel like you're playing the incredible Hulk, but he's not overly powerful.
I heard this from my cousin & I'd LOVE to have the game...

Also, my favorite video game character of ALL times, Zero, get some pretty cool color options, his AWESOME music from Mega Man X2 & from what I've learned, he uses all sort of moves from the games he's playable on...
& I'm sure that they give this amount of detail to all the other characters on the game...

In other words, I LOVE it when they do all the charaters right...

    What I HATE about games:
When they don't do what I love about some game, an example shown above.
This problem is getting to be extreme on the Pokemon games...
There are so many pokemon that doesn't get to shine...
In fact, this is why I'm going for Street Fighters IV instead of Pokemon White.

What do you look for in a game?
Engaging storyline, anime-style characters, good graphics, easy-to-use controls
What do you love about games?
A game that draws you in and immerses you in its world. One that's a decent challenge without being tear-your-hair-out difficult.
What do you hate about games?
Ugly graphics/characters, steep difficulty curves, game series that seem to take steps backwards as more sequels are released.

I look for good reviews in a game. What I like about a game are the graphics, music and gameplay. What I don't like about them is the repetitiveness after a while.

    What I look for?

It depends on the game, in an FPS I love a hard FPS campaign. I'm talking something like WaW on veteran, As the stroys tend to suck a hard campaign to complete makes up for it.

In an RPG I like a good story aswell as battle. Something like Kingdom Hearts works for me.

    What I love about games?

I admit I am addicted. I play pretty much all day every day. lol. But I love playing with other people. I play a lot of MMO games for the community side of it. I enjoy that a lot.

In a console game I love just being able to chill out and play. I may playon ahrdest difficulty but I chill out and play. I never get to keen on it.

    What I dislike?

Bad storys, Bad storys in games drive me mad. Or when they remake games. I don;t want remakes, I want something new.

I totally look for anything you can customize, Pokemon, or Pokemon references. Or Mario.

What do I love about games?
Anything I know so well, such as the quote "Go along. Choose a starter Pokémon." or "It`s a-me, Mario!" or "General Snake, I need you to--wait, I don`t know that! I don`t know any game titles that Snake is in! Never mind that.

What do I hate about video games?
Any blood, or major violence. If you also hate that, that`s a reason to follow the ESRB.

Did your mother pay you that about the ESRB?
No, I am not paid to say these things. She barely knows about the ESRB! If she did, she wouldn`t have let me get Super Smash Bros. Melee! That major violence is okay.

Friggin' love a storyline, major Halo fan, most of the game's storyline is good, Reach was shatty, and somewhat decent multiplayer.

I wouldn't say Halo has the best storyline in the world, but it is decent for the length of the game.
I imagen you have read the books? They are a lot better than the game itself, on the storyline front.
I have a lot of friends who have read them and highly recommended them to anyone who likes Halo.

What do you look for in a Blanket?
I mostly look for good, solid gameplay and lasting replay value. I don't care that much for graphics. A good story could also draw me in as well.

What do you love about Blankets?
THE GREATEST PEOPLE EVER are just so addictive!

What do you hate about Blankets?
My tendency to lose track of the time while I am playing. I had better have a clock handy because I could start playing in the evening and it's already 4 in the morning when I get my eyes off the screen!

I like sheets, really. THE GREATEST PEOPLE EVER're the best kind of 'blanket'. THE GREATEST PEOPLE EVER keep me cooler then a comforter in the Summer, and even the winter. Neither time is a comforter really worth it.

... I just had to do that... I don't look for particular things, but my favorite Genres are RPGs and Platformers. I know it will sound like blasphemy here, but I despise shooters. RPGs and Platformers appeal to me, I don't know why, but THE GREATEST PEOPLE EVER do. THE GREATEST PEOPLE EVER're just the most fun, in my opinion. And glitches in any product is basically a turn off for me, so yeah. (I know glitches are inevitable, but still...)

What do you look for in a game?
I look for pick-up and play games and RPGs.

What do you love about games?
I love it when a game has tons of content, which makes me feel I've payed my money well.

What do you hate about games?
    Stupid gimmicks.
