I for one, think that it would be disgusting if nintendo kept the old maps the same, with improved graphics. Or else there would be no point in playing the games, or having a strategy guide for that matter, because old ones would be cheaper. I would also NOT like to see either game have 35 Pokegear Apps, or something crazy like that, because most of them would be pointless. All the Pokegear really needs is what was in the original games and maybe like 3 or 4 more apps.
As quoted from Aliandro Operator:
GS was fine how it was, yeah, a remake is nice, but I don't want the best features of GS to be messed up because of Nintendo.
And yeah, Pokemon12345678901, I would NOT like these things as well:
Apricot Balls rule. Pokegear was epic and Poketch was lousy. Oh gawd, Hoenn and Sinnoh pokemon in the wild?! That would make the games unbearable to me. Red Gyarados...no way to prevent that unless they did a block of Red Gyarados on wifi, but that would be stupid. Weak trainers, gyms, and Pokemon would just obliterate everything in the game and kill the awesome Johto, challenges are excellent and strong opponents are important.
NytewolfAU2k7, totally right, these features would be terrible:
Elite 4 was WAYYYYYYYYYY too easy, I beat it with my Feraligatr level 80 alone with NO items and NO cheats. I hated that the Safari Zone was closed, it was a lot fun to play in Pokemon Green, Red, Blue, and Yellow. Kanto did seem dead and lifeless in GSC, Nintendo really needs to make better maps for it, or just disclude it if they are not going to, otherwise Kanto is just there for naught. Oh gawd, no more than 251 would be great. Pretty much all pokemon above 251 are just edits of the 251 original pokemon. Unfortunately, there is likely to be up to 493 (Possibly more, but that would just kill Johto) Pokemon because they will probably make it possible to trade from HG/SS to D/P/P. New formes would be disgusting as well.
And I DON'T want to see a crappy titlescreen either. I mean, seriously, if we're going to play the game and the titlescreen is going to be the first thing we see every time we play, I don't want to look at something made sloppily in 10 seconds. Who agrees?
Oh, and I'd hate for Nintendo to make the starter follow you like G/R/B/Y. As seen in the screenshots, your starter follows you at least through New Bark. Maybe if Nintedo made it so you could choose when you want it to follow you, like if you turn around and click the A button it'd say "Do you want to return [Starter Name] to its Pokeball?" or something like that to return it.

I dont want em to take out all the special things about GSC that made em the best and our favorite PokeGames. x.x; None of that!

And yeah, Pokemon12345678901, I would NOT like these things as well:
D/P/P pokeballs instead of apricot balls
Poketech replaces Pokegear
You can catch Hoenn and Sinnoh Pokemon in the wild
A ton of Red Gyarados on wifi
And finally weak trainer, gym, and wild Pokemon

I don't want the elite 4 to be so easy as to remove challenge
I don't want the Safari zone to be closed
I don't want Kanto to be as dead and lifeless as it seemed to be in G/S/C
I don't want to see any Pokemon with numbers higher than 251
I don't want different "formes"
