What is the best online game you have played?

Well, Apex Legends, Counter Strike; Global Offensive and Heartstone😃

I've never had more fun in my life with an online game than I've had with Overwatch and Destiny 2.

Spoiler:

Final Fantasy XIV. It's like an amazing single player story that you get to experience with other people! But it's my favourite partly due to the fact that competitive online games always seem to bring out the worst in people, particularly those who happen to be in my lobby. So for me, FF XIV really doesn't have much competition!

I used to LOVE the first EA Star Wars Battlefront I had a ridiculous amount of hours in it, used to party up with irl friends all the time, got all the achievements, diorama and did all the single player content too.

Probably Halo 3 tho tbh, I don't think I played it as much as battefront, but I think it's the better game. I would still find full lobbies long longggg after the 360 had died a death, which I think was a testament to how great the game was. Playing custom forge maps with friends was cool too. I still haven't had a chance to check out the Masterchief collection although I've been really wanting to, hope there are still some people playing online by the time I do get it :s ://

This! I had so much fun with Final Fantasy XIV A Realm Reborn. The community was friendly yet competitive. Some folks were unpleasant, but once you found a solid group, it greatly enhanced the gaming experience. It was a shame there was a monthly subscription fee so I stopped playing it years ago.

Borderlands 2 - playing online was THE way to experience this game. It made the enemies stronger, the loot/gear better, and gameplay more satisfying when a teammate would revive me (whereas I would just wipe out in single player mode all the time during the high level modes...).

FFXIV for sure. No competition. I've never gotten so addicted to a game before; it means a lot to me and I've been actively paying my sub for a total of like, 3 years now. Not as many years as others but I just love this game a lot and have friends who play it too. The story, characters, whole concept of it is just <3. I do like MMOs a lot and have gotten addicted to others in the past (Trickster Online, MapleStory, and La Tale come to mind) but XIV is on a whole other level.

I WOULD have said Fortnite if i liked the game, but i don't anymore. Now i've found Fall Guys, and i actually like it a lot as of recently. I play it daily with my siblings and we have a great time! It's super easy to pick up and enjoy, and now that it's free and on multiple consoles, it's more accessible to people.

...But i wish they reworked their shop because Epig Games changed Fall Guys' shop to be almost exactly like Fortnite's right down to currency prices, and they give away free stuff that's nowhere near as good as the original free stuff. I hope they get their priorities right, because Mediatonic doesn't deserve that.

Good question. Identifies no clear answer. Often enjoyed a game. Reached the main goal. Pursued other goals after that, either to continue playing or to prepare for an update. Played past the point of enjoyment. Eventually left with a sour taste. Muddies the waters on a "favorite".

Maybe Therian Saga? Describes it as a cooperative time management game revolving around crafting and some turn-based combat. Formed a guild with multiple people from another forum.

Found it interesting because of the crafting and discovery aspects. Determined item quality through some arcane formula. Never knew what materials were good at a glance. Flooded you with different stats on every object. Points to Tin Ingot as an example.
- 3 Prestige
- 7 Density
- 3 Rigidity
- 1 Hardness
- 5 Finesse
- 1 Lightness
- 5 Durability
- 1 Immutability
- 5 Thermal Resistance
- 5 Mechanical Resistance
- 5 Assembly Resistance

Which of those stats create a good helmet? Sewing scissors? Hammer? Zero clue. Practically required you to possess the material and see the finished product preview. Demanded cooperation to obtain all those materials. (Operated on a time-based stamina system. May require 60 real-time minutes and 15 energy to mine something.)

Worked similarly for constructing buildings. Assigned stats to building materials. May take four different pieces to construct a building. What is the cheapest combination of items to create a suitable building on this land?

Blazed a trail on some of the content. Wrote the walkthrough for new story content (and some older content). Reported yields for some tasks with random rewards. Was a novel experience, in that regard. Usually operates on others' factfinding. (Did some of that still, especially at the start.)
