Hey guys, was just curious. This is the first forum I've actually signed up to, mainly because not people I know like Pokémon. Forums like this always fascinated me and I just want to get your opinions on why you guys use it. Same reasons as me? or something else?

I moved back in June and was out of college so I wanted to make new friends. Now I just use it as a distraction because facebook is boring and I hardly take selfies in instagram.

The forum is awesome because a user called jellicentfan1 once joined! That and thee fact it's a broad forum with something for everyone to talk about, PC is very newbie friendly, and overall the community is great. Honestly the best forum from what I've seen.

Gives me something to do when I've done/bored of everything else. I've been here so long that it's just comfortable for me I guess. I've joined other forums, but either the format sucks or it gets boring fast.

instagram is for far more than just selfies

I know. But I don't like to have my profile cluttered with memes or food pictures lol. I only use it to show off a new video game I buy or to take a photo of myself or with my friend.

I'm with you - I just don't "get" Instagram. Someone at work told me I had to get one but if I want to upload a picture I want to put it on Facebook so I can put it in an album and access it later sooo...I don't get it.

Unless they changed it, you can upload a picture to Instagram and have it post to your Facebook account in an album as well. At least that's how it was the last time I did that. I'm too lazy to check to see if it actually posts to an album on your Facebook account, rather than just linking to it on Instagram.

    Same.

Especially when it first launched, before it was more integrated into things, and it was just "make your photos look like old polaroids" ...just why? How is that beneficial at all?

Aaaand, I don't know what keeps me returning here. Force of habit I guess

The community is wonderful and it is the most active community I have seen, there are numerous boards to post in for a wide range of discussion, and like User 101 said, it uses vBulletin, which is objectively one the best forum hosting services available.

You are correct - it can upload into an album on Facebook as well if you do choose so. I've done such on numerous occasions

I just love the community. All of the people I've interacted with on here are beautiful souls, aside from babaGAReep or whatever his name was, but he was thankfully banned and I never have to play the role of troll-bait ever again.

The diversity of the people. You'll literally meet people from all around the world here, which makes PC an interesting melting pot of values, interests, and culture. However that's a double edged sword considering some users have a knack of really, really pissing me off (which I'm sure everyone has a few of those am I right?)

Considering the fact that I've been here off and on for ten years, I'd say the memories I've had. Why? Because if it wasn't for PC, I would still be the useless little n00b I was back then. PC has taught me a lot, and that's why I came back here again. It holds most of my memories, much more than any other forum I've been to. Sure, they aren't all good ones, but they are still memories. Ones that have taught me a lot and helped me become a better person. I finally overcame my past and came back here. The people are nicer, and there isn't anyone nailing the new people anymore either. The staffers are all nice and supportive even though a few of them I don't talk to because I've had bad experiences with them.

That, and yes, I also love pokemon lol.

Its the only Pokemon forum that's made of a majority of level-headed 18 year olds and up, and not a majority of angst ridden 15 year olds. It lets us talk about both of best world, Pokemon and booze.

PC is friendly, diverse and has a very reliable staff team. And being a vBulletin it's easy to navigate, and that's what makes PC the only place where I can not only have fun but also talk about my passion as a Pokefan at the same time, aside from maybe Tumblr.

Usually I often have to hide my love of Pokemon in real life because many consider it weird for a 22-year-old female to still love Pokemon, but here I can actually share the love with other fans around the same age and that's why I enjoy it here.

I will like, never leave PC ever for the forseeable future.

there are far less young'uns on this forum than most forums like this which is Excellent. and the ones that are here tend not to be that bad. which is one of the main reasons I like this place a lot. plus, there are a lot of cool people here.
