    What makes you feel old?

For me it's when I realise that someone can be born in the noughties and be a teenager.

The fact that I'm nearing 20 years old.

And the fact that my sister who was born in 2000 is going to high school next year.

    I don't feel old yet...yippee!

To everyone else: you are considered a young adult until 40 and you aren't in adulthood until after 40.

Remembering stuff that happened years ago, then actually realising it happened years ago, even though it doesn't feel like it. Seeing how much things have changed, and thinking "I can remember when it was this way" even though it hasn't been that way for lord knows how many years and most people don't remember it. Seeing all these reboots and sequels of things and remembering the originals and thinking it hasn't even been that long. Mostly, losing track of the years.

Talking with people younger than I am can make me feel old as well, especially people still in education. They've not even started College yet and I finished...uh...ouch. People younger than me thinking they're old makes me feel even worse, as well...I mean, if they're old, what am I? Not gonna lie - you guys who are under 20 thinking you're old; I'd kill to be that age again! Hell, I'd kill to be 20 again. xD

Just thinking about being old makes me feel old. But I guess you're only as old as you feel.

I don't think of myself as being that old really, but one thing that always gets me is reminiscing with old friends and sharing stories of things that happened over 5 years ago, but we can all remember them like they happened yesterday. When things like that happen, it just sort of blows my mind and I always wonder where the time went.

The fact that my younger sister who's 4 years younger than me graduated not too long ago meaning I graduated over 4 years ago. Or when I look at release dates of GBC and GBA Pokemon games and realize how long ago that was. With me being in my early 20's now I'm overwhelmed by bills and responsibilities and sometimes wish I was a little kid again. Where has the time gone?

I make old person jokes about myself sometimes.

But I do feel old sometimes. A large chunk of the userbase here (including a significant portion of the staff) is younger than me. Some of the people here weren't even born in the same decade, century, or millennium that I was born in. I also had gotten rather used to being one of the youngest people in any group I've ever been in, but that's becoming more and more not the case lately.

And then there's the ORAS sections little description: "Pokémon Omega Ruby and Pokémon Alpha Sapphire have been announced! Discuss the remakes of 2003's best Game Boy Advance games! (Are some of us seriously that old?)" <---constant reminder of my age. I started with Red/Blue/Yellow when I was 6 or 7.

Or like how the Gamecube/PS2/Xbox era of games is starting to be considered "retro gaming" by some people. That was a lot of what I played when I was younger, and I still play some of that ****. And speaking of older games, there's those moments where I realize that I'm now as old or older than some characters I used to be younger than. Like for example, I first played Xenosaga Episode I: Der Wille zur Macht when I was about 12. One of the main characters, Shion Uzuki, is 22 in that game, and at the time she seemed so much older. Now I'm 22. And one day I'll be the older one.

I'm also a recent college graduate. High school ended about 4 1/2 years ago for me, but it doesn't seem that long ago. But it is.

And some days my back hurts a bit. WTF I AM 22 I'M NOT SUPPOSED TO BE HAVING BACK PROBLEMS YET.

As you can see, I can get rather fixated on age.

I saw a commercial the other day for a tablet for little kids. They had 5-year-olds in it.

And I looked at Boyfriend and asked, "Remember when floppy disks were a thing? When cell phones and laptops were almost exclusively for ****ing CEOs?"

    ....Kids these days. :(

Oh God there's so many, and I'm not even 20 yet

    1. When you realise that you're nearly twenty that almost a quarter of your life is over.
    2. When you meet someone who last time you saw them they were in early primary and now all of a sudden they're going into their teens (this happened to me last year. I'm pretty close with her older sister).
    3. Release dates
    4. The fact my younger sister just completed her last year of schooling
    5. Other peoples birthdays too

    This, too. Kind of.

I keep looking at my niece like.. I remember when my sister was pregnant. Now her daughter is going to be 8-years-old in February. holy crap, what happened.

    I remember those days....

But why would 5 year olds need a tablet?

It was some gaming specific tablet for small children. The commercial focused on kiddie edutainment games and a browser preloaded with parental-controls. I guess to keep kids like my little cousins from stealing mom and dad's iPad.

I think it was for the Nabi. $180 is a steep price to get a tablet for your Kindergarten-aged kid.

My way of living. I don't go out and party and socialize. I stay at home and do nothing.

The only time I feel old is when I'm crouching for a while because I need to do something (usually at work) and try to stand up.

I was starting to feel kinda old, but that feeling has left me. Honestly I feel so young and I feel like there are so many opportunities and life experiences waiting for me so I am excited!!
