Film What was the last movie you watched?

I normally don't like horror at all, but since it was Halloween I decided to give The Exorcist a shot since I've heard many people call it a classic. I went in expecting to have a great time and be scared out of my skin, but it turned out to just be kinda mediocre. The plot was extremely straightforward, the girl gets possessed, her mother takes her to a bunch of doctors who can't fix the issue, then they bring in a priest and they get the demon out of her, the end; and while it was a bit creepy at points, nothing too scary actually happened. The acting was fairly good and I did like most of the characters, but I'd only give it a ~6/10.

This pains me. I love that movie.

I got roped into watching a movie recently I was sure wouldn't be for me called "Your Monster." Turned out to be kinda fun lol. Was a bit silly and quirky rom com but with some dark tones as well. Not brilliant or anything, but worth a watch if you're in the mood for something a bit weird. I really like the main actress too.

I watched The Eternals

I think it was my first time rewatching it since it came out, and I was interested to see if I'd enjoy it more this time. My initial reaction was that it was ok, but boring.

If anything I liked it less this time around. The film just has far too many pacing and story issues. The runtime of nearly 3 hours honestly felt more like 6 and that's being generous.

Maybe they should have made it into a Disney+ series instead of one film and spent some time exploring the various backstories in each episode. Perhaps that could have worked.

As it stands, I was sufficiently bored that it joins IM2 in the "will likely skip in most full MCU rewatches" pile which is sad because I was quite excited for it when it was first announced.

Just watched Inside Out 2 earlier today, and I loved it as much as the first one. Probably has one of the best depictions of a panic attack in any piece of media I've seen. Also had quite a few jokes that made me laugh. None of the new characters were annoying. The lesson was one that I needed to remember even though I'm an adult.

It's the only movie I've seen recently that I want to watch again soon.

Last night I watched Dragon Ball Super: Broly. It was really fun, as a Dragon Ball fan! I LOVED how they used Broly, and how they put in
Spoiler: !!spoiler for dbs:broly!!

Anyway, would recommend if you like Dragon Ball.

"The Star Beast" & "Wild Blue Yonder" from the Doctor Who 60th Anniversary specials.
The former was kinda meh imo, but the second one was decent. One more special remaining on these Blu-ray discs =3
Not going to spoil the third special, just to say that you'll like it.

Just watched Goosebumps, with Jack Black. I really enjoyed it- I loved reading and rereading the books as a kid, so it was major that they made a movie based on them. They used to have a television programme based on them too, last I checked.

Cuckoo (2024)

I confess it felt as if the movie was picking up. But then, at least for me, it never felt as if it had reached the climax I had hoped it would reach.

I don't regret watching it however. The trailer made it seem like a weird film. And indeed, it was quite the oddball. It's not a film I recommend unless you just want something to make you go "…huh? ….What? …Eh?"

Tiger Cruise (Spoilers btw)

It's a Disney Channel movie, and I really amazing one. It's a fictional movie that takes place around the events of 9/11. I could only watch part of it until getting to the events, and I had to turn it off. I've seen it a few times before... but 9/11 is tricky for me because I was only about 12 or 13 when it happened (I think?). Just a lot of heavy emotions and the like. :(

Gnomeo And Juliet. A couple years ago I'd watched Wreck-It Ralph for free on some internet website, and a short time later the sequel Ralph Breaks The Internet on the same site. After I'd watched the second movie one of the other movies they had in the suggestions was Gnomeo And Juliet; I looked it up on Wikipedia and watched the trailer on Youtube, and it looked good. I had planned to watch it sooner but procrastinated- as I said, for a few years- and finally watched it today. I really enjoyed it! It was much better than the original Romeo And Juliet story (Spoiler: Happy ending!), and they had several people doing the voices who I recognised- Matt Lucas, Ozzy Osbourne, Hulk Hogan, Emily Blunt (I had seen her in the 2010 remake of The Wolfman, coincidentally), and etc. I definitely recommend it!
[PokeCommunity.com] What was the last movie you watched?

The last movie I watched at the cinema was Nosferatu on Jan 1st this year for my birthday. The last movie I watched at home was Long Legs probably like 2-3 weeks ago. Loved both of them.
