So, I was looking for my charger for my iPhone since I didn't feel like having to turn on my computer just to charge my phone and deal with all of that annoying sounds that comes from the tower. I didn't find it, but I did find something that I certainly didn't regret ever having. The Great Gatsby, my favorite novel, by F. Scott Fitzgerald.

I opened it up to the first page and was reminded of when I first started reading it. I hated it, but at the same time, I felt it was so well written that I just couldn't stop reading. Then again, I was supposed to read it since I was assigned to read it for English class. -- Okay, all this gabber aside, I read it and right there was a quote I remind myself of everyday.

"Whenever you feel like criticizing anyone," he told me, "just remember that all the people in this world haven't had the advantages that you've had."

I wish most people in the world lived by this quote because it can prove to be very useful to just about... most of the people I've come to know, who can be very judgemental people sometimes.

    Anyway, my questions to you:
    1. What is your favorite quote? Whether it be from a book, a movie, someone you know, something you've created... anything.
    2. Why is it your favorite quote?

My favourite quote at this moment I guess is "eyes on the prize", which really doesn't mean much, but it stops me from doing stupid things I would do normally, and helps me think long term, or something like that. I can't recall any other quotes of importance.

    1. "Borrow time, don't steal it."
In other words, use your time wisely and use it to your advantage because once time is up for you that's it. And don't steal other people's time/waste it. Let tyhem use thier time in the way the want to.

"Its better to be hated for what you are, then to be loved for what you are not."

    2. Why is it your favorite quote?
Well, i thinks it very deep. for some apparent reason, it means quite a bit to me, considering that fact that i know people do hate me for what i am, but i think its just jealousy.

"Arguing with a fool proves there are two." ... I forget who it's from.

I've been able to use it many times. Plus I find it to be one of the more accurate quotes I know. ... and it makes me feel witty when I use it on other people. :3

Whenever i try to think my brain says invalid operation.

its something i thought of one day during school and well it just stuck. i have a few others but i cant think of any at the moment.

My favourite quote is "Yesterday is history, Tomorrow is a mystery, Today is a gift. That is why its called the Present"

I just really enjoy reading that quote over and over.

It would be the one in my signature. I always found it to be a deep and beautiful quote. To think it came from a video game as well, lol. :D

"This is your life and it's ending one minute at a time" - Tyler Durden, Fight Club.

It makes me realise that all of this, every argument, every happy moment, even the seconds I spend typing this, are being used up. Not wasted, never wasted. We're all dying, since the day we were born we start dying. And it just makes me realise how fast my life is going, and how much time I've spent doing something I shouldn't have instead of doing something useful.

"The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not 'Eureka!' but 'That's funny..."
    ~Isaac Asimov

Truth be told, this isn't my favorite quote, but one of my favs. :3

    1. What is your favorite quote?
my favorite quote is from a pokemon d/p episode ash says "....i've been thinking been thinking more and more about what it really means to be strong-that means believing in the strength of my friends and that's because I trust and love 'em!"

    2. Why is it your favorite quote?
it is my favorite because once i looked and heared this quote being used i literally took it seriously and i knew i did and it changed me

"A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects." Time Enough For Love, by Robert Heinlein.

I never actually read Time Enough For Love; I found this quote attached to someone's signature on a forum over the hills and far away, and I fell in love with it. It's clever and it speaks the truth. What more do I need? It's motivating and it also makes me laugh, no matter how many times I read it.

Someday I'll read the book, I swear.

My favourite quote is "A person is able to become truly strong, when they wish to protect someone they cherish." by Haku from the Naruto series - I'm not sure which exact episode or chapter any more.

    2. Why is it your favourite quote?
It's my favourite quote simply because It's inspiring and it shows how much a human being can become strong for what they love.

'Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.'

No idea who said it, but I like it because it reminds me to just have fun once in a while. There's loads others, but I'm not gonna type them all out...

Edit - Actually, here's one to think about: 'You're three times as likely to die on your way to buying a lottery ticket than actually winning it'.

    1. What is your favorite quote? Whether it be from a book, a movie, someone you know, something you've created... anything.

"In the end, the most important thing is to be true to yourself and those you love and work hard. Work like there's no tomorrow. Train. Strive. Really train and cultivate your talent to the highest degree. Be the best at what you do. Get to know more about your field than anybody alive. Use the tools of your trade, if it's books or a floor to dance on or a body of water to swim in. Whatever it is, it's yours. That's what I've always tried to remember." - Michael Jackson

    2. Why is it your favorite quote?

Because I lived on hard work. You work hard you will be successful. This what happened to Michael. He worked of what he strives for and he got it. I try to follow this everyday when it comes to my life.

"its not about who has more dollars its who has more sense"
    -twins of twins
