Diamond/Pearl (My current team for the elite 4)

  • Infernape LVL 66
- Close Combat
- Flamethrower (TM)
- Mach Punch (Priority)
- (Any Move Really, I have Flame Wheel)

Purpose: To sweep the first member of the Elite 4/To defeat the Steelix/Lopunny/Drifblim of Flint.



  • Gliscor LVL 65 (Sand Veil Ability)
- Swords Dance (Set up on Hippowdon)
- X-Scissor
- U-Turn
- Night Slash

Purpose: To defeat the second member of the Elite 4/To defeat the Steelix/Lopunny/Drifblim of Flint.

(Gliscor is AMMUNE to ground therefore you can set up on Hippowdon, and sand veil in counter to Hippowdon's Sand Stream. Only thing you need to worry about is Quagsire)


  • Floatzel LVL 64
- Aqua Tail (For Stab)
- Aqua Jet (Stab/Priority)
- Razor Wind
- Swift (In case of hax)

Purpose: To help with Bertha/Take on Flint


  • Gengar LVL 64
- Confuse Ray

Purpose: To defeat the 4th member of the Elite 4 Lucian

Just started a new playthrough of Platinum. Currently at Oreburgh and haven't challenged the gym yet. Team is:

Turtwig, Shinx, Starly and Geodude.

I was toying with the idea of adding a Machop, though it'd only be until I caught a Ralts, since I'm planning on using Gallade for my fighter. I don't think I will though - I'm probably going to just teach Rock Smash to the Geodude and use it (and Turtwig) against Roark. And for that matter, I'm probably going to end up swapping the Geodude for something else (I have no idea what yet) later on anyway.

Just cleaned out the Galactic Building in Veilstone. The team I used for that was Gallade, Staraptor, Torterra, Luxray, Vaporeon and Houndoom. I've also got a Rotom and a Scyther that I've been swapping in and out of the team, and a Bibarel and a Tropius for HM duties. I'm planning on catching a Snorunt to evolve into a Froslass, though I'm not sure how much I'll use it. It's just pretty much the only thing left in Platinum that I haven't tried yet.

In Soulsilver, my team is: Tira (Luxray), Snowflake (Froslass), Flare (Charizard), Inferno (Charizard, shiny), and Mewtwo. All of them are level 100. (I already beat Red.) I am also raising a Camerupt and a Shiftry.

In Pearl, on the other hand, I did a Nuzlocke. At the end I had only a Mismagius nicknamed "Danger" (All the other Pokémon I brought to the League fainted.). She is level 74 now.

Just challenged the E4 in Platinum, but lost. I went in with the same team I'd been using:

Vaporeon

All were at level 50 going in, which I knew was underleveled, but I wanted to see how they'd do. They actually made it all the way through the E4 and most of the way through Cynthia, but between her Garchomp and her Lucario, they just couldn't quite pull it off. So now we're going to go grind some more - I'm shooting for about level 54 or so - then we'll try again.
