So, your biggest fails or flops in gaming. We all had them! What are yours? Got any stories you'd like to share? Maybe you've made a funny and memorable mistake during gameplay?

For instance, how many times have I fallen off one particular stage in Super Mario 64, where even my 8 year old cousin can even complete. >>; Ugh, I seriously couldn't believe the mistakes I had in that game in general, ahaha.

Oh good gracious lord i have had one huge mistake which could have made a huge difference.

Forgetting the Mothership Core in StarCraft 2 against my Arch Nemesis for a tournament while i could have ended the series in that game... i couldnt get back to my base to clean up his army and it became a base race i lost... so much frustration came from it XD

Also i tend to hit a hotkey wrong in SC2 and LoL, wasting mana (LoL) and resources (SC2) for no reason xD

So I'm playing Assassin's Creed 4, off to assassinate Laureano Torres. To do so, I need to climb up to a pretty high spot in the area. As it turns out, that can be a little difficult. So after a couple of deaths, I finally reach the spot I need to get to. Torres has a quick speech, and then I finally get the cue to assassinate the old fart. I press the Y button, Edward leaps to make the kill... and he was off. He was off by just a couple of inches. When I made the jump, I was pushing forward on the control stick, which I guess was pushing me forward a bit too much.

The worst part is that I landed on solid ground, which means I'm right next to Torres. Well as it turns out, they will be having none of that. It's an air assassination or nothing. So I was forced to kill myself, and try again a couple more times.

In the urban, nighttime stage of Jet Set Radio (I don't remember what it's called), it always takes me several tries to make this jump from a ramp onto a rail so I can escape from the cops to the next part of the stage. They usually shoot me several times in the process. Frickin' PC controls.

Most recently, I was battling an Unknown 3 in the Gelnika and Stephanie's (Tifa) health was low so I cast Full Cure on her but Gauge (Barret) moved to attack just as the cursor was on him and when I pressed left again it landed on the Unknown and I pressed "O" because I thought it was Steph, instead I healed 9999 worth of HP for the enemy.

So, I'm having dumb moments from playing Super Mario 3D World. @_@;; I fell off the Galaxy stage over 5 times now and not even the Tanooki suit can save me. XD Ugh. And they are really simple jumps too; I don't understand why I've failed at those jumps so muuuch.

    I had to do a escort mission today in C&C Renegade, and i just shot the person who needed to be escorted in the head... several times... with a rocket launcher... why is the AI always so stupid in those missions ;-;

In N (a really hard platformer), making it to the final one of a particularly hard set of levels (95-4), pausing right near the end, and then instinctively using the jump button to unpause and jumping myself right into a mine.

Failed to kill a deer in Far Cry 3 numerous times that i had no ammo anymore so i had to chase it with my knife and C4 xD

When I first played Sonic the Hedgehog with my grandmother's Genesis, I couldn't get past the first ledge. I didn't know how to jump, so I was stuck there for the next two years.

    Good times.

The maps in rhythm games where there's the one part of the map I cannot combo to FC it on, but as soon as I get that part down after 10000 retries, I choke somewhere down the line. I then retry and retry but cannot hit that same part again...

When I was still a noob on Ratchet & Clank 2 many years ago, I was once stuck on that mission which involved using a gadget called the Glider to follow this robot to get some TV-thingy fixed. The problem was I didn't know how to get the Glider in the first place! However I eventually did get past it but yeah it did leave me derped for a while.

So I made it to the extra stage of Imperishable Night, and I was about to face the midboss of the stage...as soon as I met her, I collide with her, and die. Considering back then I was horribad at Touhou, it was my last life, and gg. Considering Keine's hitbox is active during dialogue (it's a glitch, one that cost me...), running into her while she speaks will cause you to die.

Something like this...except during a time when there's no firing.

Ugh so many, soooo many!! Most of them would have to be in COD 4 and 5 with all of the friendly fires and grenade deaths while trying to complete the game on Veteran.

Plenty of times in Portal 2 where I over complicate everything and end up falling into the damn water.

Also in Half Life 2 where I forget to crouch and lose all my health and not realize it until I get shot to death by a very easy target.

Well.... this one was pretty recent and still makes me sad but I shall share.

Game is DOTA 2, our team (Dire), Doctors Corrupt (DC) versus theirs (Radiant - they didn't have a fancy tag or guild/team name).

Anyways, to start, I and a friend of mine fed a little early trying to be aggressive and it backfired initially. After that we were pretty much on our heels the entire match, which lasted a total of 61 minutes.

The only reason it lasted so long as I was able to farm (being the carry) with Juggernaut and recoup my earlier stupidity and we had some great defense. Basically we just defended until we were about even and could actually push back little bit at a time.

Near the end of the game, we wiped them, to include a couple buy backs. So we managed to finish pushing mid lane all the way to their ancient but had to fall back due to losing two and they were reviving back in. Our strategy had been working the whole game, fall back, defend, kill them, push forward. Just keep at it right?

Well I should have, mainly cause it was my strategy, but near the end, I got cocky and stupid. They were all mid (or I thought they were) pushing back our creeps to try and finally finish us off. I was at their secret shop when I noticed this and thought to myself, I have a free lane to their ancient. I could finish it now. My teammates implored me to fall back and defend, yelling at me this is my strategy the whole time. I said I got this, I can end it. I walked into their area and Drow Ranger (the one I didn't notice) was standing there and promptly destroyed me. They overwhelmed our defenses and finally won.

Needless to say, I try not to cowboy games in DOTA anymore. XD

In Farcry 3 I was chasing this pig ran out of pistol ammo ran out of SMG ammo because of some pirates lurking around and had to kill an entire outpost with a motherfreaking knife and was killed by my own grenade that hit the wall and right back at me. xD
