Who's your favourite Galar gym leader?

    I honestly really like them all because each has a very unique personality. Nessa is the sassy one. Opal is the most experienced Gym Leader we've ever had and the closest to her we've gotten before was Pryce. And Piers May have been the leader of Team Yell and a Dark Type user but he did things that were fair and even wanted to help the player as the game went on.
     
    To be honest, I don't really like any of them. Just like the whole Galar, they are deep as a puddle and don't have anything memorable going for them. I guess Bea and Melony kinda grew up on me during my only playthroughs of Galar games, but even then I had to look up their names, because I only remembered them as Fighting-type and Ice-type Gym Leaders.
     
    I can only remember Milo, Gordie and I think Opal. Personality-wise and in every single aspect, Milo is my absolute favorite, he's the easiest gym leader to draw (in my opinion), I freaking love the Grass type since it's my favorite type, and when I first played SwSh I generally liked him more than the other characters because he somewhat resembled Bolin from The Legend of Korra lol. I remember Gordie because I cleared his gym using only my Cinderace. Lastly is Opal whom I only remember because of the stat changing questions.
     
    I love so many of them lol. My fav is probably Nessa but I also like Bea, Spikemuth (is that right? I did admittedly forget his name and have to look it up, but I like his design, story and personality) and Raihan.

    I actually thought the cast of characters for SwSh was super strong, there were more characters that I liked than there were in S/M US/USM and even X/Y. Probably the cast of characters I liked the most since gens 1-5 not counting remakes. Surprised at the negative responses...but I guess I also always felt SwSh was over-hated.

    I haven't played SwSh at all, but I can confidently tell you that he is my favorite character in all of Pokémon. I was OBSESSED with him back in 2020. I drew him so many times it's not even funny. I'm sure there's some drawings on my old art thread here (though I don't advise looking at them). If I'm remembering the lore correctly, he created Team Yell so he could support Marnie. He's just a really good big bro :plead: Also we finally got a Dark type gym leader after so long and it's this absolute ICON. As a kid, I was never really interested in the (human) characters themselves as much as I was the Pokémon, but there's something about him that actually made me realize there's more to them than just a name in a game. I guess he was my first "fictional crush"? (I use this term very lightly) I never really thought about characters in general that way before.

    This is basically the case for me too. In a game filled with boring, generic Gym Leaders, Piers was the only one who stood out simply because he, like me, refused to turn his Pokemon into giant inflatable balloon versions of themselves.

    Sw/Sh had a pretty bad cast of characters in general; the only good ones were the NPC Lasses and your character if you put her in a cute outfit. The others ranged from forgettable to downright despicable.
     
    I loved Bea and her fighting types followed by Allistar and his ghosts. Was sad I couldn't get both in the same game but I enjoyed the game enough for a few runs.
