will prince philip die before the new year

TAKE YOUR GUESSES

Speculating on someone's potential death seems really inappropriate.

I'm convinced god wants him to hit 100 before he pulls the plug

I think the better question is - given the state of the country, why would he WANT to survive to see the New Year?

He'll probably make it, although god almighty the BBC pictures of him don't make him look too good.

He looks very sick, but the royals probably get the best care around so most likely.
Maybe he'll push 100, who knows. But I have a feeling if one dies the other may soon after, it tends to happen with long married, close couples.

Also, if he's the queen's husband why's he a prince? Wouldn't that marriage make him a king? Or am I stuck in like the 1500's here.

The real question is: will Elizabeth outlive Charles? Odds are pretty even.

Also, if he's the queen's husband why's he a prince? Wouldn't that marriage make him a king? Or am I stuck in like the 1500's here.

Since historically (yay sexism) the Queen has been the King's wife and not a legitimate position on her own right, the few woman monarchs of England/the UK have 'demoted' their husbands to prince so nobody believes (least of all him) he's the one in charge and she's just the wife.

Oh ok, I was thinking since she's the legitimate heiress, but I still thought the marriage would make him king nsgsfg
