You have played Pokémon too much when...

You've played too much Pokémon when you feed wild animals sandwiches and expect them to love you

--You have every game
--You've caught'em all on every game
--You regularly restart them to do it all again
--You have a hat like Ash's
--You never leave the house without said hat
--You wear said hat to school even though the school handbook explicitly says "No hats"
--You challenge the school gym coach for their badge
--You teach the school band to play the Red/Blue opening

--Your friends don't know what is worse: the emergency broadcast system, or you singing the classic English Pokemon theme over and over and over...
--You wish Brock could come cook for your school
--"Celestial" is on loop in every music player/streaming service you own/subscribe to

You have played too much Pokemon when you realise that you've spent more time soft resetting encounters for shinies than you have just playing the game.

--You expect lost objects to have shiny beacons of light, so it's easier for you to find them.
--Your English teacher refuses to accept the papers where you dotted all the I's with Poke Balls
--You have somehow worked Pokemon into your schoolwork.
--You have worked Pokemon into your schoolwork even when the topic did not concern anime, video games, and/or Japan.
--Monotonous noises like engines idling or water dripping are beginning to sound like the classic English opening
--Even your pets know the words to the classic English opening.

You scour jewelry stores for Liko's pendant
You wonder if your toy Poke Balls actually have Legendary Pokemon inside
You spend hours scouring YouTube or Twitch for Iono's stream

--You wonder why your brother's lizard hasn't evolved into a dragon yet
--You wonder if any of the rocks in your rock collection will evolve your cat
--The Dance Dance Revolution song "Butterfly" turns into "Beautifly" in your mind (guilty)
--You memorize trails, roads, bus routes, and train routes via Pokemon numbers (eg. bus route 25 becomes the Pikachu route)
