Just got the Sun Flute on Sun and currently assembling Synchronizers for the legendary at post-game.

Team is:
Incineroar Level 50
Passimian Level 44
Shiinotic Level 45
Mudbray Level 18
Charjabug Level 30

Will aquire a Bruxish once I've got a Sharpedo to breed it some moves too...I'm patient like that
 
My team right now after just getting the Electric Crystal:

Helena the Primarina (Level 37)
Tina the Incineroar (Level 36)
Ayane the Tsareena (Level 36)
Kasumi the Lurantis (Level 35)
Mila the Midday Lycanroc (Level 35)
Lisa the Alolan Raichu (Level 34)

I've just got the Primarina Z Crystal and am heading towards the current trial. Since I got lucky getting an Adamant nature on Tsareena who is the hardest hitter on my team.

Two Grass Pokemon might not be ideal but I really like both Fomantis and Tsareena. Fomantis might get replaced with Alolan Vulpix however if the Ice Fox is not super late game.

Have fun on your third Island's trials! That's a very Kanto-heavy team ongoing there but wow, very diverse!
 
Challenging the Elite Four with Greninja, Crobat, Kommo-o, Golisopod, Palossand, and Vikavolt. They have served me well.
 
Just beat E4 yesterday in moon with this team:

- Ash greninja
- Ribombee
- gengar
- Lunala

was quite tough but I manged somehow
 
Just about to capture the legendary and I have:

Incineroar Level 53
Passimian Level 51
Shiinotic Level 53
Vikavolt Level 41
Mudsdale Level 42
Abra Level 6 (Synchronize)

Shiinotic has been really good I find. Incineroar is a beast, as is Passimian.

Will replace Abra with some form of Water Pokemon, or the Legendary
 
So my final team is primarina, lycanroc, dhelmise, kommo-o, muk, and palossand

In the end lycanroc became useless and palossand remained useless the entire time. Primarina on the fence of being tossable. dhelmise is such an awesome Pokemon I love it so much

Kukei was a nightmare...left with Vikavolt at the end of it all.

Red was just about doable having lost pretty much all my team. Battle Tree was an outright failure though. Time to breed me some competitive mons.

Just got to Ula'ula so I'm getting a Stufful soon! (I think that's where I can find one) I'm trying to use new Pokémon only, Pichu has been useless but I want to try out Alolan Raichu, and I might be replacing Lycanroc and Fomantis if I find anything better soon. Dartrix and Mudbray are great, though.

Actually, you can already get a Stufful on Akala Island, on Route 8. That's where I got my Stufful.

I know Golisopod doesn't add a typing to the them but this is what felt right and it's working ok so far.
