I imagine how big Froakie's final evolution will be, it's second evolution looks like is already about the same size of Toxicroak.

Fairy super-effective against Dark... I hate it even more now. Tyranitar to UU, it seems. One more weakness... Time to give Houndoom Sludge Bomb, too.

The new chart means the only Pokémon without weakness now is the Tynamo line.

Garchomp's Mega Evo looks ugly. On the other hand, I decided to buy X since the Mega Mewtwo form looks better and seems better as well with its new typing. Y buyers can keep their spermatozoa-looking Mewtwo.

I'm SO not choosing Chespin after the revealed evo info! What an ugly little thing. Fennekin's evo looks the best.

I think the twid in the fennekin evolution, might just be a divining rod, you know how people will at times use a y shaped stick to find stuff, just a hypothesis. deffinatly going with fenniken on both games, but frokie actually looks cool. but as long as the fire looks cool I'm going fire

    Starter evolutionsssss
October CoroCoro ~ New Pokémon, Starter Evolutions & More!

Fennekin = Looks very elegant, quite happy with how it's turned out so far and I'm glad it's not Fire/Fighting... yet.
Froakie = I really like it tbh, this changes my opinion on Froakie a lot now.
    Chespin = Strange yet cute.

Well, I think this sort of counts as evidence that Fennekin is following in the tradition of Empoleon and Serperior to be the "French" Pokémon of this generation. Someone said before that Fennekin could be based off Marie Antoinette, which, right now, wouldn't be too wild of a jump. Anyway, I like it. Looks a little weird, but cool.

And I also like Chespin's evolution. It looks a bit weird, but that's a good thing. It looks more like a chestnut, and is probably gonna evolve into something good.

Anyway, the middle stages of the starters always look a bit weird. Wartortle, Croconaw, Combusken, Monferno, and Grotle are no less weird than these guys here. The middle stage of the starters is almost like their version of being gawky adolescents.

Chespin's evo looks like a messed up Pignite which is a huge shame; I was expecting great things from that line. Fennekin's evo looks like a prettier and more badass version of Lucario which I'm adoring and it seems to hint well at a Fire/Psychic-combination so I'm looking forward to using that line a lot more than I was previously. And Froakie's evolution? Pure badass. I love his evolution and it looks like a perfect Pokémon to train. This update has completely changed my mind on which starters are the best haha. Let's just wait for the final evos!

Unsolicited advice: doesn't getting the same starter over again make the game a bit...monotonous? I mean, you'll have already beaten the game with Fennekin once, which means you'll kind of know how to do it in the next game. Doesn't that sort of...take away the challenge a bit? If you think Froakie's evo looks cool, then get Froakie the second time around.

Finally, we have the starter evolutions! I like them all, but Chespin's is my least favourite.

I also really like the fossil Pokemon. Chigorasu reminds me of the Cranidos line, and Amarasu has a pretty cool ability. Ice-type Return/Frustration, anyone?

Torimian blew my mind. At first I thought it was MegaAbsol, then I thought it was a llama, and now you can give it haircuts! I hope we can give haircuts to more Pokemon, like Jynx.

Nyaonikusu is another Pokemon that blew my mind. Its gender not only decides its design and color, but also its stats and movepool? We haven't had such a Pokemon since Gen 1.

Also, Mega Mewtwo X and MegaGarchomp? Really, Game Freak?

Fairy super-effective against Dark... I hate it even more now. Tyranitar to UU, it seems. One more weakness... Time to give Houndoom Sludge Bomb, too.

The new typing also puts a big dent in Hydreigon. Dragon/Dark makes it have a x4 weakness to fairy types. I wonder where he will be going competitively with that in mind.

With the starters I like Froakie's midevolution the best. Which is great because I was going to choose him as my starter and this definitely doesn't change it want me to not use him like it did Tepig (in which the final starters didn't help with that sooo). Fennekin's is pretty alright and original to say the least. If it wasn't bipedal it might have gotten some 'i looks a lot like Ninetales' sort of thing so this is cool. I just laugh at Chespin's because it's like it ate a balloon and just look at its expression. Not saying I dislike it but looking at it is hilarious.

Not too fond of the new megas. MegaMewtwo is alright but MegaGarchomp did the thing really need one? It's over there with Lucario on my list of 'unnecessary'.

    Torimian-10
All I have to say is, customizable poodle pokemon!
I love that pokemon. It's ability, fur coat, is my style for sure!
What ever will my Swirlix evolve into though?

    Hariboogu-3 - Teerunaa-9.5- Gekogashira-8
I actually love Froakie and Fennekin evolutions...though, Chespin...
Maybe it's intermediary stage is supposed to be awkward looking before a metamorphosis like Swadloon, Gloom, ect. Though, I am also getting Pignite vibes. Sadly, I will have to go with Fennekin, Chespin. Fennekin resembles some sort of spellcaster/mage, with a robe/dress...it's tail either appears like a wand and/or broomstick (though this is tastefully subtle). If you haven't noticed, Froakie's white bubble neck tufts extends like a chain on his back, which could more than likely be ninja-related. I like the overall feel of his design.

    Chigorasu- 8.5 and Amarusu - 6
The fossils pokemon are cute. The T-rex is just perfect. It looks like everything I wanted Cranidos to be! The ice/rock pokemon is great up until the face. The diamond in it's back and color palette and body shape are done nicely. The face shape and yellow head tassels, I am not completely sold on, but I still like this pokemon.

    Nyaonikusu - 8
I am ecstatic about some more significant gender differences regarding Meowstick, presumably. I like how these are not blatantly obvious. To be honest, I don't know which one I like more! Though, at the same time, I am not jumping up and down for these guys.

    Mega Mewtwo-3 and Mega Garchomp-8.5
Umm...I am not digging MegaMewtwo at all. It's so gauche with frog legs and weird veiny gill-like embellishments. The only thing I like are the shoulder pads. Mega Garchomp is crazy good. The teeth mark design along it's torso is perfect. The more pominent jaw and impressive tail makes Garchomp look even more intimidating. I am so-so on the scythes.

If Chespin is based off the Chestnut flower (the "hat") and it's middle evolution is a Chestnut maybe it's final evolution will be inspired off the Chestnut tree, or at least it's MegaEvolution (if it has one).

All of the starter evolutions are ugh. Chespin's is too bulky - I get the nut reference, but esp. its nose. Ew - while Fennekin's looks like some weird llama mix :\ Froakie's isn't too bad, but it still looks a bit awkward to me.

I love Espurr and Meowstick, though. Kitties are always a good addition lol

The chespin evo reminds me of Ludicolo, which is anything but a bad thing.

The fennekin evo is pretty dang awful, but the furry community will lap if up. Good for them.

The froakie evo is very nice and pretty much confirms my usage of them.

The fox pokemon looks really bad and the fossil pokémon are kind of boring (rock/dragon is a sweet typing though). Mega Garchomp looks like a derpy overdesigned piece of crap but the Mega Mewtwo X looks really quite nice and better than the devolution that was the other Mega Mewtwo.

But why is its counterpart...winking? Why would an Apatosaurus be WINKING?
Because it isn't just a Apatosaurus, its a KEWL AND HYP Apatosaurus.

But why are they weird? What's so weird about Grotle, or Croconaw? Actually what's weird about Chespin's evo? What's wrong with fat? It's cute.

The best video game character of all time is fat, you know. (Although he is muscular instead depending on the games...Chespin's evo confirmed to be muscular in one of the versions.)

Because it isn't just a Apatosaurus, its a KEWL AND HYP Apatosaurus.
I actually really ****ing hate designs like that. Why can't they look natural? :/

I love Chespins evo... It basically became what they did in D/P. Grotile Grass and Ground becoming and tank and sort of effective over the other two. Plus chespin is the tank. Its been a while since a grass start has tanked. I mean snivy was tanky as heck for some reason.

i think its going to become more hedgehog like (possibly quadruped like a hedgehog)

and if the moves are an indication of what the second types will be the green shell might turn yellowy brown to represent his ground type and it'll get spikes and his underside might be like the actual chestnut

Also guys Grotle being a bit fat didn't stop Turtwig from turning into this majestic son of a world turtle:
October CoroCoro ~ New Pokémon, Starter Evolutions & More!

If Torterra is anything to go by (being the best starter and all) Chespin's final evo probably has a chance to become the best starter of all time™

...Nah, Froakie is superior and his evo will be superior.
