A WORLD OF ICE & FIRE
    a game of thrones

Only months after the triumphant coronation of King Belwas, First of His Name, King of the Andals, Eunuch of Strength, Pit-Fighter of Meereen, and Slayer of Wolves, Lions, and Stags, the lands of Westeros were in a calm. War was over, the commonfolk returned to their lives of farming and toiling, and the lords and ladies comfortable in their castles and towers. Under the guidance of his Hand, Samwell Tarly, the King had become loved by the lower classes. The King from the Dirt, as his enemies called him, was a man truly deserving of his title, despite his bloodthirsty nature and inability to produce an heir.

The loss of noble Houses was a blow to those loyal to them, but new lords rose in their places. Some sought glory, some greed, and some...

    the Iron Throne.

    THE HOUSES

    HOUSE BOLTON

Roose Bolton - Every other night, Roose may choose to FLAY a player in the game. If Roose flays a Peasant or Declared Peasant, his vote the following day will be valued as two. If he flays any member of a House, his vote will be valued as three. If he flays a member of his own House, his vote will be valued as five. Each time he flays someone, there is a 50% chance their wounds will continue BLEEDING, which will kill them in two phases if not healed.

Ramsay Snow - Every other night , Ramsay can choose a player to TORTURE. This will randomly result in a confession, a silencing, or a pledge.

Fat Walda Frey - Each night, Walda may EAT from the stores of the House. She may invite any other player to join her feast, blocking them from performing a night action. They will still be susceptible to any other night actions (such as kills, poisons, investigations, etc.).

    Reek - A secret role.

    HOUSE BAELISH

Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish - Each night, Littlefinger may choose a player to PAY for a favor. If he pays off a Peasant or third party role, their vote will be altered in a way known only to Littlefinger. If he pays off a member of a House, all votes against House Baelish BY that House will be negated the following phase.

Lysa Arryn - Lysa is in love with Petyr and, therefore, will sacrifice her life if he were ever targeted for death. In addition to this, twice in the game, she may choose a player to POISON. If the poisoning is successful, that player will die after two full phases.

Robert Arryn - Each night, Robert may choose a player to PLAY with. This will protect that player from all night actions, but will also roleblock them.

Alayne Stone - A secret role.

    HOUSE GREYJOY

Balon Greyjoy - A schemer at heart, Balon has the ability to send two LETTERS out each night, one more than any other House leader. In addition to this, he may DROWN one player of his choice at any time in the game, though this will result in a role reveal.

Euron Greyjoy - Euron may choose two players to CURSE at any time during the game. By cursing them, they will die if Euron dies.

Victarion Greyjoy - Victarion will CRUSH the bodies of any visitors he has, paralyzing them for the following day phase, which will prevent them from speaking. This will not stop their night action from working. There is a 50% chance it will also role reveal that visitor.

Asha Greyjoy - A secret role.

    HOUSE TYRELL

The Queen of Thorns - Each night, the Queen of Thorns may choose two players to TRICK. This will have an adverse effect on their role or their behavior.

Margarey Tyrell - Margarey is able to DECEIVE keen eyes and altar the information they see about her. She will always appear as something else upon inspection, alter conversations overheard, and otherwise deceive her enemies.

Loras Tyrell - Each night, Loras may GUARD a player. If he guards a member of his own House, there is a 100% chance he will take the effect of the night action being performed. If he guards anyone else, the night action will be reflected back onto a random player.

Mace Tyrell - A secret role.

    HOUSE MARTELL

Doran Martell - On the first night (Night Zero), Doran may choose an opposing House as the enemy of the Martells. He must then wait until Night Four, after which he may STRIKE his enemies, killing two opposing House members immediately (unless they are otherwise protected by vest or night action).

Oberyn Martell - Every other night, Oberyn may propose a BATTLE with any other player, which will initiate a duel against them. His first duel will give him a Starting Advantage, his second duel will give him an Extra Heart, and his third duel will give him a Second Wind. If he attempts further duels, he will always start second in the duel.

Areo Hotah - Each night, Areo may choose to PROTECT a member of his House. If they are targeted, he will reflect the night action back on the leader of the attacker's House or will take the attack himself (50% chance).

Arianna Martell - For three nights, Arianna may SEDUCE a player of her choice. That player will fall in love with her, and she will learn their role. If she is killed by an individual or a House, her three lovers will be tasked with getting REVENGE against her killer (if any member of a House kills her, they will seek to kill the House leader). If they fail to kill that person within two phases, they will kill themselves to be with Arianna.

    THE OTHERS

Varys, "The Spider" - At the start of the game, Varys must choose a player he wishes to crown on the Iron Throne. Each night, he may SPY on the letters of a House. He will see their words in full. At any point in the game following selecting a player, he may initiate a private chat with the chosen player for a single phase (day and night) - sharing any information he has gathered and vise versa.

Wyman Manderly - A secret role.

Walder Frey - A secret role.

Meryn ****ing Trant - A secret role.

Brynden "Blackfish" Tully - Having seen the betrayals of the Red Wedding, the Blackfish must AVENGE his family and their deaths. He must kill (or help kill) Walder Frey, Roose Bolton, and Petyr "Littlefinger" Baelish. If he can achieve this, he will win a solo victory.

The Night's King - The last of the White Walkers and their true leader, his goal is to EXTERMINATE all humans and conquer the lands of Westeros - thusly, each night he gets to slay a player of his choice. He may CONVERT a player to be a wight every other night after killing them, up to three conversions.

    Jaqen H'ghar - A secret role.

Podrick Payne - At any point in the game, Podrick may choose a player to FOLLOW loyally. He will receive a private chat with that person and be free to learn any information they share. If that person dies, Podrick can choose to die for them OR allow them to die, thus freeing him to FOLLOW someone else. As long as Podrick is alive, his win conditions match that of whoever he is following.

King Belwas - Having fled King's Landing to protect his life, he must SURVIVE by any means - thanks to his armor, he can survive one killing attack, even poisoning or assassination attempts. He will be assigned one player at the start of the game to help keep him safe. This player will become Samwell Tarly, the lone protector of the King.
Samwell Tarly - Though not strong in physique, Samwell is strong in heart. He will receive mercy if ever challenged to duel and will sacrifice his life if his King were ever targeted for death after losing his armor.

Ghost - The direwolf of deceased Jon Snow. He now wanders the land aimlessly. Each night, he may TRACK a player. When he tracks them, he may also select a House to relay the information to. The House and Ghost will each learn where that player went during the night. He may choose a player to BOND to, though he will learn nothing about them. He will simply win alongside the House that person belongs to.

The High Sparrow - The High Priest of the Faith, he may CONVERT one player every other night to join the Sparrows. He will be allowed a private place to speak with these converts and those converts may share any information they have previously gained with him EXCEPT who was in their previous House. Information gained otherwise is free to share. He may also HEAL a player each night, but the player being healed may not be the same as his convert OR any member of his flock.

Peasants - The common folk. You may DECLARE yourself to a House and will become a Named Follower, but you will still have no abilities. Once you make a declaration, you may not switch alliances. You will, however, rank up dependent on who remains in the House.

    RULES & OTHER INFO

Each night, the head of the House may send a LETTER to any other House head OR to the rest of their House. Here they may plot to attack another House, deceive one another, relay information (the only info that will never be relayed is what players are what roles, unless gained through legitimate investigative means), or otherwise plan and play the game of thrones. Your letters will be sent back to you as well so you know what information went through.

    The PokéCommunity Rules apply here
Please use [KILL] name and bold it to confirm your vote.
Missing two votes total will have you killed - these deaths will not affect any role-consequences or "Lover"-style roles.
    No PM sharing!
All in-game discussion should be kept here.
If you are DEAD, you are DEAD. Don't haunt the thread with your posts please! You are allowed a single death post, which may not reveal ANY game information, following your death.
For kills, if there would be a tie, a DUEL will break the tie.
Getting caught posting at the night phase will automatically kill you. No exceptions.
Night actions should be sent to me by PM and by PM alone. Please title your PMs with your action. If you are sending a letter, please make it clear as well.
    Abstaining is allowed.

If you have any questions, you can post here, VM or PM Klippy.

    DUELING MECHANICS

Dueling will be a bigger part of the game than last season. Every few phases, the two most voted players will begin a duel to see who deserves to live. The loser of the duel will possibly die, while the winner will receive a prize for surviving (among the prizes: a crossbow, a suit of armor, bandages, or information). If a player has a perk that negates a duel, the person with the most votes that day will die still.

Each duel will take place via PM, submitted to me, but the duel itself will be acted out for the public game. Duels will have special mechanics and each character possesses a perk if they were ever to be part of a duel. Some perks help you, some perks hurt your enemy, and some simply assist you in avoiding a duel altogether.

Each player in a duel will begin with five hearts, unless bonus perks grant them additional ones.

When a duel begins, each player will submit to me via PM twenty moves. Among those twenty moves can be ATTACKS, DEFENSES, DODGES, RESTS, HIDES, and COUNTER ATTACKS. Each player will have 10 STAMINA before they need to REST. Choose your moves carefully when dueling, or else it may cost you. More on the types of moves and their stamina costs you can submit are below:

ATTACK Good for damaging, but leaves you open to COUNTER ATTACKS. (-2 stamina)
DODGE Good for avoiding damage, but allows your opponent time to REST or HIDE. (-3 stamina)
DEFEND Good for setting up a COUNTER ATTACK, but makes it easier for your opponent to DODGE. (-1 stamina)
REST Good for recovering stamina, but leaves you completely vulnerable to ATTACKS. (+10 stamina)
HIDE Good for confusing your enemy and sets you up for a sneak ATTACK - which is any attack following a HIDE. (-4 stamina)
COUNTER ATTACK Only use this if it is preceded by a DEFEND. If your opponent is struck, deals double damage. (-3 stamina)

The following are the perks for dueling. You will see these icons displayed beside your character's role description above as well.

SECOND WIND This player can survive ONE defeat in a duel and still live to tell about it.
EXTRA HEART This player has an extra heart when the duel begins.
BLEEDER This player will suffer from bleeding if they lose a duel, but will not immediately die.
STARTING ADVANTAGE This player will receive the first strike advantage when a duel begins.
HAMMER WIELDER This player will do double damage when connecting attacks.
MERCY This player will be given mercy from death if they lose a duel, no matter how many duels they enter.
BLINDER This player will blind their opponent, which negates five of their moves (random five).
WEALTHY This player can pay off his opponent, avoiding a duel altogether. They may only pay off their opponent twice, after which they will be forced to duel.
SNEAKY This player can use stealth to HIDE from their opponent, which gives them a slight advantage if their following move is an attack.
