Oh wow nice to see everyone popping up again, and welcome to the club Captain Fabio! It's funny (and slightly stalkerish on my part), I saw a pic of you in the thread here on PC and was like wait I've definitely seen that guy before and was like cross referencing your PC profile and YouTube to see if I was right lol. Glad to have you on board though!

North American WCQ was this weekend, and I scrubbed out hard lol. But that's what you get for playing Ghostricks. I can definitely understand the lull though, I won't be playing much in the next couple months and none of the newer stuff really piques my interest at the moment

In regards to ygopro/DN, it sucks but if you guys are saying the ygo server is still up we can potentially work with that for future events. Not sure if Revise was about the set something up

  • Thanks. :) Yeah, it's me. Haha. I have been on this site for a long long time, but I left after stepping down as S-Mod, because I didn't have much time to put into PC anymore.

Shame you didn't do well. Ghostricks are an annoying deck to play against though. Haha.

  • I just wish you'd had a taste of their hand trap power - the last XYZ I summoned was going to make them so much cooler </3 Hopefully tomorrow we can try him out :D

Oh ho ho, I've got another handtrap-ish deck that I could totally use against you! Bring it on. :D

Ooh what's your batterymen list? Not often you see someone even mention it.

What was Yang Zings original name? I dont mind the name though I'm not sure it it fits the deck at all as I'm not familiar.

Yang Zings are originally called "Ryuusei," which is a pun(?) that I believe literally translates to "Dragonstar," or alternatively, "Dracometeor," or "Cosmic Dragons." I personally like Dragonstar best. :D

Also, I'm curious to know what's inside of Squirrel's Batteryman deck myself. :P

North American WCQ was this weekend, and I scrubbed out hard lol. But that's what you get for playing Ghostricks. I can definitely understand the lull though, I won't be playing much in the next couple months and none of the newer stuff really piques my interest at the moment

Aw dang, that's too bad. =( But at least it must have been a pretty cool experience to actually go to Nationals! Plus, it's impressive that you got invited there in the first place. :D I myself have lost a bit of interest in the current metagame at times, but thankfully, playing with casual decks is what saved my overall interest in the game from declining too much! Running a Junk Accel toolbox deck without Quasar is a real blast, haha.

As for any YGO events for PC, I'm not even too sure by this point. Apparently, it wasn't Konami who took down YGOPRO/DN, and Konami themselves are probably aware that such simulators play a huge part in the Yu-Gi-Oh community and the competitive scene, so maybe they might do something about it if the fans are vocal enough? I seriously don't know. ~_~

But in the meantime, I'm sure people have always been welcome to use this thread to arrange duels with anyone else who might be interested!

Edit: Oh wow I got ninja'd, that's gotta be a first for this thread.

In regards to nats, I already knew I wouldn't do well either way, and I didn't want to grind my way through a field of Monarchs and mirrors (I invited with Kozmo), so I thought I'd have more fun playing Ghostricks. Thing was, playing into time was a huge issue, not to mention I didn't face many of what I think was the most represented deck and my best matchup in PKBA.

In other news, I haven't been most up to date with ygo news, but I've been seeing speculation that Number 81 is gonna be in the English release of The Dark Illusion. It's the R10 Train Xyz with the really long name, basically a R10 Felgrand. Not sure about the status of the level 10 train pieces though, pretty sure they're still video game exclusives

And regardless of if a tournament is in the works or not, I'm always around to duel!

    Cosmic Dragons > Yang Zing!!!!!

My Batteryman decklist for those who have been asking:

    Monsters
    Batteryman Industrial Strength x1
    Batteryman Fuel Cell x3
    Batteryman Charger x3
    Batteryman 9V x3
    Batteryman AAA x3
Batteryman AA x3 (this is the black sheep of the deck and isn't really worth using but I like him)
    Batteryman Micro-Cell x3
    Batteryman D x1
    Honest x1
    Thunder Seahorse x1

    Spells
    Battery Charger x3
    Short Circuit x3
    Quick Charger x1
The Monarchs Stormforth x3 (this card really gave the deck a second wind)
    Mystical Space Typhoon x2

    Traps
    Portable Battery Pack x2
Mirror Force x2 (will sub out for the updated Mirror Force variants when I can be bothered)
    Bottomless Trap Hole x1
    Compulsory Evacuation Device x1
Trap Stun x1 (useful for the turn you want to pull off your OTKO, could stand to add more)

    Extra Deck
Generic Rank 4-6 spam basically; also I highly advocate the use of Number 52: Diamond Crab King because he is my favourite card ever despite being mostly useless

Not claiming they're at all great but they have a pretty high success rate and I'd say they're my strongest deck that I've built so far - lots of fun to use too! Most people from what I know will use Baterries for more of an XYZ-focussed deck with Hunders etc added in but I just don't like that style so I went for classic Batteryman with the Short Circuit OTKO focus. Also I don't use many of the hyper meta staples. They're super fun to play so I definitely recommend building a variant and they're usually pretty decent at coping with the more meta decks too as they mostly work from the hand, as long as you get a bit of luck in your first couple of draws. They're pretty reliant on having to set up the turn before they want to make their big play so you have to make sure you've got protection set up before throwing it all in. I can go into more detail on strategies/combos for anyone who is interested if people are looking to pick them up but they're pretty simple really. My favourite deck of all time ♥

Oh I love Batterymen, they're so explosive. I really like Abyssal Stungray in that deck (maybe because I like it in any deck that plays R5 lol). And Stormforth is just so unfair, last time I played Batteries I know I mained a couple of the Fiends

  • Spoiler:

Interesting build, not sure about the AA, AAA and the D. Here are my two decks: http://imgur.com/a/Z7N6F

One pure and one Brilliant version to help make it more explosive, I keep bricking (To be expected, they only have one combo..)

  • Well, with the Movie Pack being released this week, what's everyone looking forward too?
I am looking forward to Blue-Eyes Alternative Dragon and Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon. Among other things, like the alt art Slifer that looks amazing.

  • Me, nothing. Has some DM stuff that I should pick up if I ever build it irl, haven't finished my Cubic deck to do testing. Though my brothers are pretty happy with it, Blue-Eyes and Gadgets. Kinda sad Ra got left out in the alt art, since he got two new pretty cards too, yet were stuck with old art for Ra.

  • I've always used a Magician/Odd-Eyes/Majespecter Deck, but I do enjoy using the D/D archetype. I also tried out those [relatively] new Digital Bugs on YGOPRO. They're pretty interesting to use as well.

My newer decks are Dinomist, Skull Servants (I know they aren't new but I recently tried making them), Burgesstoma and Watts (again, not new but new to me!). I'm also still using Batteryman a lot, Hazy Flame, Glad Beasts and Ritual Beasts! Looking into making an Exodia deck too but pretty sure no one in the world wants to play against that...

Kozmo and Ghostricks are the two decks I've used the most recently. I've got all the stuff for U.A., so I might build that again. I want to build Burgesstoma, but they're not gonna have all the relevant stuff for awhile.

Ohh, That's a really powerful deck from what I've seen of it.

Those decks seem really cool. :) But I haven't tried a skull servants deck?? Isn't that just a level 1 zombie type monster?
& Do you not like using meta decks? Meaning do you try to avoid using popular decks?

    Oh, hii. :)
So are those two your main decks? ...You seem really familiar with them both.

Yeah I've been playing those two decks for awhile. It's getting stale to be honest lol. This format (Kozmo included) has been dragging on for awhile. But the newest stuff isn't the most appealing to me so I'm not sure how I'm gonna move forward into the next season. I do think Ghostricks always have a pretty decent matchup though, and if the format is particularly slow they can definitely grind through, I don't think powercreep has as much of an effect on the deck

    I sometimes play D/D, and I only used the Digital Bugs three times. {XD}
And yeah, it is really powerful. Especially if you use Utopia Beyond along with Odd-Eyes Pendulum Dragon, it's a great beatstick. 5000 whole points of damage.

Uhm, Do you not like trying different decks other than those two.?
Also uhmm, aren't Kozmo and Ghostricks two decks with totally different play styles.. I mean right? (Abit confused.)
..& Hopefully a new deck comes out that you will like so you aren't too bored next format. :P

Oh, Do you not like D/D/D's that much?
Yeah! Reaction force! XD That would be really cool if you pulled that off. Oh and do you use the Performapal odd-eyes unicorn card too?
