News: Version Exclusive Pokémon, New Features Revealed in New Sun/Moon Trailer

Finally, we're getting information about version exclusives! I like Passimian more than Oranguru. Although, it would be fun if in Single Battles, Receiver copied the ability of the fainted opponent. That'd make Passimian a force to be reckoned with.

As for Lycanroc, the Midday form looks a bit standard for a Rockruff evolution, while the Midnight form looks badass. Why does the Midday form get such a good ability (Sand Rush) and an intriguing move while the Midnight form has to do with Counter and Vital Spirit? Special treatment much?

Glad that trainer customization is back, and much more expansive than in X and Y! I'm also interested in Pokemon Refresh.

Hmm, it seems that Pokémon Refresh still retains some key elements from Amie but making it better, eh? I can't wait to pet my Pokémon once again in Alola region! I'm wondering if Pokémon Refresh somehow have ability to cure even status ailments (some are seen brushing away poisons and paralysis literally, or so I thought). And I'm glad to know that I can see how I would customize my trainer there as well.

After the news of Alolan Raichu getting a Z-Move before, it shocks me (no pun intended) when I find out that the normal Pikachu can get one exclusive Z-Move as well?! Man, this makes me wondering which one between these two would be my ideal choice! And Eevee's Z-Move looks pretty cute when Eevee jumps to the trainer's head, and it looks unusual out of the bunch, but at least it reminds me a bit of a certain blue bomber's Final Smash in some way.

I think Passimian and Oranguru (the duo monkeys) are unique in their own ways but still looking alike, just like Throh and Sawk in Unova region. And personally I prefer Lycanroc in Midday form rather than Midnight form, but they're doing a pretty good job!

Yep! The website mentions how, similar to how previously if you care for your Pokémon a lot in Amie they begin dodging moves etc, if you care for your Pokémon a lot in Refresh they may be able to heal themselves of status ailments.

That Z-Move for Eevee though. I actually did random calcs to see how it would fair against other Pokemon. Well, Eevee can now safely 2hit ko an Evolite Porygon 2 and is able to possibly 2 hit ko a Deoxys-D. So freakin' insane. @.@

Not to mention that character customization is awesome! I also like that this time around the version excluses actually feel like version exclusives.

I love both of these new pokemon and I found it odd that Lycanroc Midnight wasn't Dark, but I guess they didn't want to change the types too much.

I really love that I am getting Pokemon Sun Version first, as they seem to have the better looking ones to me.

Both of these new monkeys look like they may have a pre evolution.

Glad we can get rid of hats and have more hair colors to choose from.

However, I plan to use Lycanroc midday form so I will be getting sun. Now, I just hope that they get around to telling us about the starter evolutions and whether or not they have split forms that are version exclusive.

The character customization in Sun and Moon looks amazing and I can't wait to make my character feel like my very own. I think this adds a lot to the adventure and making every player's journey feel more personal.

The Monkey Pokemon are both really cool with interesting abilities and the Z-Moves for Pikachu and Eevee are both really cute. I'm not surprised that Pikachu received a Z-Move really I mean Game Freak weren't just gonna let Raichu steal the spotlight ;)

The time changes and that would be a terrible design. 12 hours apart means that Sun will run normal time while Moon does the opposite. But we saw in one screen shot, the time changing to day to sunset to night,

It was confirmed a while ago that we wouldn't be getting an Eeveelution because the Dex Entry for Eevee only showed spots for current evolutions. Which means that is all there is.

But that leak was totally real.

I'm also kind of getting irrationally triggered by people saying that customisation/no hats are now confirmed.

Love the designs on Passimian and Oranguru. Receiver sounds like a neat ability, and Passimian's fainting animation is hilarious. Oranguru is a sage though, and even has a tengu fan, lol. Definitely going on my in-game team.

I'm still not fully sold on the concept of Z-moves, but even I gotta admit those were pretty flashy.

The ability for a Pokemon to use a move that belonged to the recently fainted ally certainly is a cool concept and makes me wonder why they haven't tried it before...

No starter evolutions (as I thought), but we did get Rockruff's evo revealed in English.

Loving the footage of Lycanroc (that's Lugarugan's English name btw) and the reveal of their types and abilities. Turns out Midnight Form wasn't Rock/Dark like I first thought, and that Rockruff with Vital Spirit retains the ability for Midnight Form Lycanroc, while Midday Form instead gets Sand Rush. Disappointed that it confirms version exclusivity which I didn't really want for Lycanroc. Not going to be an issue since I love both forms, but I'd imagine how people who are getting only one version feel.

Passimian appears to be that rugby monkey the leaks talked about, but the design seems to be crossed over with a lemur as well. Oranguru is pretty cool as well. Passimian's Receiver looks to be a doubles/triples-focused ability as far as competitive is concerned, since it appears to take on the ability of a knocked-out teammate.

Pikachu and Eevee's exclusive Z-Moves are the coolest ever! I love how the trainer holds Pikachu in their arms and then throws Pikachu up to perform the attack. And Eevee commands the entire Eeveelution Squad to get... a stat boost?

The Pokemon Amie thing is now Pokemon Refresh? I guess Pokemon Amie was "too French" for a region like Alola. At least it keeps the affection system from Amie. The expanded trainer customization is great too, as it appears there's now more eye contact and hair color options (yass my actual hair color can finally be on my trainer which I guess is the ash brown) as well. Also, glasses confirmed for the customization!

Seriously Game Freak, you have made 7th Gen my fave generation now.

It could just be me, but does anyone else feel that Passimian and Oranguru, despite being different animals, might share a pre-evolution? They both have similar colors and markings (white/gray/black, orange markings/spots, both have a leaf motif), and both are version exclusives.

Wew Oranguru your mentor to success. Now, I want a fan fiction where all the Oranguru rebel against humans, unite all Pokemon by guiding them and teach them to attack, and it shall be named as "Rise of The Planet of The Oranguru"!

Well, some pretty neat new stuff here for today's news. I like both of the monkey Pokemon, but I think Oranguru's design stands out more. With Lycanroc, I like both forms but since I think I'll be getting Moon gonna be a bit sad I won't unable to get Midday form (though there is always trading I guess).

When watching Eeevee's Z moves I laughed because the animation is both crazy and cute lol. Looking forward to how the trainer customization will fare this game.
