News: Version Exclusive Pokémon, New Features Revealed in New Sun/Moon Trailer

I could get you a Passimian as I plan to get Sun ;). I am not a hacker, nor would I hack the fun away from the experience even if I knew how to, so you can be sure it'll be 100% percent legit ^_^.

I think that Passimian's best partner might end up being Shedinja :3.

Oh yeah! I forgot about Shedinja. But that also made me think of Greninja with Protean! Oh my god if this thing can learn elemental punches and have decent attack power I'm all for it.

I definitely gotta get him, and I'll definitely tade vise-versa exclusive with you. If a particular nature rockruff needs evolving you can count on me on that as well. : ]

I'm really with today's news! I absolutely LOVE that rugby monkey!!
The only thing I regret is that Rockruff's evolution doesn't evolve depending on the time of day.. Version exclusive evolutions is original though, I hope the starters will get the same treatment.

The more it goes, the more it feels like I'll buy both versions ahah, that'd be a first for me!

It is still based on time of day, but it is also version exclusive. The Night/Day concept I think is confusing a lot of people.

Sun, plays as all pokemon games do, but you still have to evolve it at a certain time I think.
Moon, it is just the opposite, but it still gets day time. It is also a certain time.

I may be wrong, but I think it still largely depends on Night or Day.

I honestly don't see why people dislike Lycanroc's Midnight form. It doesnt look bad to me, but oh well. /shrug

I just don't like the design. It just doesn't feel like it should come from Rockruff. It also strongly reminds me of Zoroark and I just really don't like it being bipedal.

I like the rugby lemur more than the guru orangutan but I'm not big on monkeys so I wouldn't use either anyway. But uh Instruct is kinda wild? Like... any Pokémon you select will just use the same attack again... Have Smeargle Sketch that and we're looking at Kangaskhan using Double-Edge twice in one turn, twice-a-turn Hyper Voice from Salamence or Sylveon, twice the set-up in half the time... If we still had this year's "legendary rule" next year (we won't but just imagine), it could disrupt Xerneas trying to set up with Geomancy by having it use it again (with no Herb)... And if Oranguru turns out to be viable by way of stats, that would be a second effective user of the move. Wow.

But I honestly think my favorite thing to come from this update is the Pokémon Refresh artwork. Hau looks super cute in it!

I think it might be because Midday Form looks like a more a natural appearance for a Rockruff evolution, and feel Midnight Form changes too drastically. I do love both but I personally love Midnight better because I think it's the cooler design of the two.

Also, the trailer seems to have pointed out that Turtonator learns Overheat and Palossand learns Earth Power. Definitely expected the latter happening since I feel a lot of sand-based Ground-types have a tendency to learn that move.

Hahaha yes agreed. Oranguru looks great in this artwork as well, so chill and so blank-faced, and I love how Litten is crying out for attention.

I think the Midnight form looks really powerful and cool for sure, but I prefer the Midday form because it just feels like a more natural evolution of Rockruff, and it's different to a lot of canine Pokémon as well.

Lycanroc's Midnight form kind of dissapoints me because unlike his Mid-Day counterpart, he doesn't get a really good ability (Sand Rush), he doesn't get his own original signature move (AccelRock) and his signature move Counter sucks! He didn't even get Rock/Dark to differentiate himself from his other counterpart like.... why? He's clearly a sneaky and shady Pokemon so it doesn't make sense why it doesn't get dark. It's also kind of dissapointing that the evolution depends on the game, and I really hope that's not the case with the starters too (and it would likely mean both forms of the starters might share the same type).

All the negatives out of the way, I still love the designs of both Lycanroc's (but I'm glad I'm getting Sun)

TRAINER CUSTOMIZATION IS BACK AND BETTER THAN EVER HELLOOOO ALOLA THIS IS AMAZING I'M SO HAPPY.

Pokemon Refresh seems cool, I like how they're updating Pokemon Amie, but I still won't use it during my main runs because it's simply broken. You can recover status conditions? come on man (now I want an uber Hard mode that will force you to use these features).

The animation for CatastroPika is the cutest thing ever, I'll take 20 Pikanium Z's please.
Eevee's Z-Move is rediculously cool too.

I like the new monkey Pokemon and I prefer the Sun one too. Very interesting moves and abilities.

It seems like Poke Bank won't be doing the whole "Pokemon from Gen 1 will retain their Gen 1 Typings/stats" nonsense that one of the leaks said they will, that's a relief. Still need to complete the PokeDex on my Red version though.

Surf's new animation is amazing god bless you game freak, gen 6's just wasn't right.

It's because of two things:

1) It resembles Verlisify, who is a very controversial Poketuber.

2) According to the laws of the internet, we're suppose to poke fun at edgy video game characters for their attempt to appeal to juvenile delinquents. There's a reason why Shadow the Hedgehog, Reboot Dante, and Dark Pit are seen as jokes to the internet community.

Speaking of Verlisify, I remember the jokes made about him when Lycanroc's Midnight Form was first revealed due to the similarity to his YouTube channel's icon. Funny looking back on that now.

I am a little let down that the 3D model of Midnight Lycanroc does not have a pink glowy look as it does in the official artwork. But, that's a minor issue. Overall I like his sinister demeanor and animations and will probably use it on a second or third playthrough.

I kinda dislike the Midnight Form. The arms are too skinny, and the color scheme is...meh.

I like the other three though. Especially Oranguru and Lycanroc's Midday Form. Passimian is also great.

Pokemon Refresh is awesome! It's basically Pokemon Amie but way better, especially how you can cure status ailments without the need of items I presume.

The two monkeys are great! way better than the trio in black and white...
I am glad I got Sun, because my favorites from this leak are in my game :D And as a Double Battle Lover, I'll probably use Passminian. There is so many strategy possible!
