Dragon Quest. I didn't get into it until I played VIII, at which point I fell in love with it. I'd played the original years before and VII for a short time, but they just didn't click at the time. It's my favorite JRPG series now. Go figure.

I have a really good 64-in-1 cart for my Famicom. It's got 48 actual games and the rest are hacked repeats, but still! I have another 4-in-1 with various 'Mario' games on it. Absolute trash. Not worth the 3 dollars it cost to get it from Hong Kong. That said, I'd kill for a copy of Action 52.
