  • I have never heard of Castaway and Pandora, seriously! But if you have not played Insurgence yet then you are missing the king of all fangames. Its miles ahead of any other fangame ever released, more like the Adventures Red of fangames. It's complete as of now, just give it a try, you won't be disappointed! The Delta pokes are mind-blowing! However, not all are obtainable early and some of them are post-game content.

I am not at all interested in SwSh. I lost my interest after gen 5. I liked the legendaries of gen 6, only legendaries. Gen 7 was meh, except Greninja. Gen 8 is a total mess. I don't even want to squander my hard-earned money on these expensive games anyway. If you want a gen 8 experience, do give Radical Red a try, it worth it, I bet.

Probably that's why Lunos and Aethesode went separate ways, I guess. There is a youtube channel named Hero Voltsy; he is releasing walkthroughs of beta 15, I guess. Do check that out for reference. Sakakii, the creator of Kanlara has not logged on for quite some time now. I wonder if he is still working on some hack or moved on with life.

Unbound is probably going to be the chartbuster hack of all time if released though! Skeli is implementing all the available features till Crown Tundra on his CFRU Engine. It will probably take time and he is in no hurry anyway. Unbound is pretty special and its one to certainly look out for. However, you can try out its Battle Frontier Simulation. It's amazing!
no no, I mean waiting for SA to allow US citizens to visit - I've been in the US since november of last year :( from what bf says they're not doing a good job at all, and their home affairs aren't replying to me at all no matter who I contact on if it's okay for me to fly to UAE for 10+ days and then over there. it sucks.. the lazy work culture is definitely one of the more annoying downsides
that's good!! glad all is okay
been decent here I suppose, still waiting for SA to open up travel from US :x but it looks like I can stay in a low risk country for a while and then fly over there so that's something we're considering for hopefully december orz
Hey, have you ever played Pokemon Insurgence? It has Delta pokemons as RVs. They are totally mind-blowing mate! Those guys are giving better pokemons than Game Freak, I mean it, seriously!

I also agree that, perhaps, GameFreak is running out of ideas and they are just presenting more and more bloated stuff, nothing original. At least, not to my tastes.

Let's just hope that Aethestode is kind enough to write the guides about added bonus chapters in beta 15+. Seriously, I don't even know what has been added in the latest beta. Adevntures Red is such a big project, probably the biggest on PC. The only hack that comes to my mind that is close enough is Skeli's Unbound!
    hi hi how have you been? hopefully all is okay for you and your family ;o;
I'd call it bad, but there're too many stupids here that call USA efforts as 'praiseworthy' b/c the results (so far) are marginally better than the 'do nothing' option that our federal gov't keeps governing toward. While other developed countries around the world are basically issuing UBIs to the tune of monthly multi-thousand US dollar checks or partial employment payments while furloughed until covid19 is over, our federal gov't issued a one-time payment of only $1200 while homelessness & job loss are projected to reach historic highs when compared to even the Great Depression of the 1930s.

I know that's a lot to unpack here to essentially a stranger but damn... To have a nation that claims to be 'number 1' and the 'we can do anything in America' sloganeering, our officials always play the austerity card whenever it's policy meant toward the citizenry, but when it comes to serving our elite's interests they're always covered during a crisis.
Well, I love regional formes, they add a nice variety to the game, don't they? However, they are still the same poke with a different typing right? Same wine in a different bottle might be a proper analogy. Compare Electabuzz and Electivire, the latter is amazing competitively! It gets the right boosts at the right places. It even looks awesome designwise! I long for these kinda pokes. Now, how about a regional variant for Electabuzz and Electivire, which one would you choose? Most of the people would definitely go for the latter. These Megas and Dynamaxing seem kinda bloatware to me!

Scalet is trying her level best alright. I have nothing against her. She is a very nice person. But do give a look to the Adventures Red OP and you will know what Lunos did for the Adventures Red hack over the years. Now we don't have any current guides or even a poke location list...
You would call vanilla hacks somewhat basic or primitive I guess. Plain story, graphics, features etc. I would prefer to stick with Gen III hacks; particularly Firered and Emerald.

Regarding Mega Evolution; I don't like it one bit. I wonder why. I loved it when they gave 3rd evos for Magmar, Electabuzz, Togetic etc. They don't announce something like this anymore. So, I like my Swampert as it is! I know nothing about Digimon by the way!

Without Lunos, we are not getting any guides, tips or help in the Adventures Red thread. Lunos was super helpful..I miss him there.
These kinda hacks are called QoL or Quality of life changes hack. They build on the same story, just some updated features and graphics and all.

    Hex Helper Double Oh Link:
    https://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=338884
No worries, just select the feature from the available feature list and bingo!

Hey, how is pokemon grape? It's a vanilla hack, right? I would like to give it a try but the additional types turn me down. I mean, 18 types are more than enough, no.

I have never thought about any pokemon other than Swampert. We usually get one in all the games. Except for one weakness, this guy can take multiple hits and still stand tall, amazing, right? No other poke comes to my mind, seriously.

I was totally smitten by Mega Power's story. You get lots of good pokes in your journey. The MC was not a 10-year-old kid on a world-saving mission; I really appreciated that. The final scene where there was a Court proceeding taking place was simply amazing in my opinion! Regarding Nameless, I have not played it fully. So I might not be able to give a correct opinion, however, the dialogues are too long and time taking, so that might hurt you a bit. I personally didn't like the MC's costume. All of 1158's hacks are story driven and Nameless is no different. It's also a story centric hack.

I rate Stigma pretty high, maybe second to Adventures Red. Dialogues are gross at a couple of places, however, I enjoyed it thoroughly. It's a fun hack. I would like to know your opinion on Stigma when you are done with it.

Radical Red is QoL hack just like Altered Emerald alright. I am not a fan of QoL hacks as well. Stranded is a breath of fresh air! I am looking forward to playing it. However, its in pretty early stages of development atm.

Yup, Lunos is no longer involved with Adventures Red Chapter and the developer rarely visits PC. Earlier, Aethestode talked about adding more side chapters to the beta 15, that's what Exp Pass was all about; to the best of my knowledge. You should probably contact scarlet night for latest info as she is maintaining Adventures Red thread nowadays.
Hey! the eraseable HM features that you are talking about is implmented in almost all the hacks that are being developed atm. Gone are the days of HM slaves!! Also, I have played some hacks that made use of HMs as regular moves like but I've forgotten their names; sorry about that. Maybe it was Glazed, but I'm not sure. Converesely, you can use Hex Helper Double OH tool to make HMs eraseable, it easy nowadays! Some hacks have replaced HM with other mechnanics, like rides etc. If I remember correctly, Emerald Final by Dearman4 and GS Chronicles by Dr. Seuss have used this feature. In Altered Emerald, one single move Nature Power replaces all of the HMs!!

Zorya is in both the versions, however, you can bypass Zorya in Ultimate at an early stage. There is an interesting post game as well!

So you work realtime, huh! Don't you fear that you might skip some details. I always feel that I might skip some important game details as I move superfast. Regarding pet peeves, I usually build my team around Swampert and I don't find any Mudkip early game, I feel restless. Water types are pretty nasty in my opinion. Alone they are not much of a threat, but their dual types like Water/Ground, Water/Dragon, Water/Grass are pretty nasty to deal with. However, story is supreme to me as well. You have played Mega Power, don't you? How amazing that was! The plot twist at the end was just mind blowing. I would recommend you Stigma. It's even better. The Oak intro is painful and dialogues at some places are gross. But those are just two or three occurences, that's all. The hack is pretty awesome, I would cent percent recommend it.
    Spoiler:
I don't know. I haven't played the latest release because I no longer keep tabs on that ROM Hack. Sorry :/
Hey Allen, I'm moving our conversation to VMs as I find them more appropriate for usual chatter. Hope you are not offended. Regarding Clover, I hv heard about it alright. But, you know, a sperm as your starter is too vulgar for my taste; sorry about that. There are some more fakemons that I find a bit gross, so I skipped it altogether. Kanlara Ultimate is Sakakii's hack and I have played it a couple of times. There are two particular battles in Kanlara that are mindblowing! One is with sage Zorya and the other is the last one where you have to battle that Mewtwo abomination. Be prepared mate! I would suggest you to choose Demon Typhlosion, it's pretty handy in that hack. Use a PP Max on its demon move and it will take you a long way for sure.
P.S. How do you plan a walkthrough; I mean, I usually play a hack on 2X speed and I am more interested in knowing how the story eventually unfolds. Going this much thorough, it's one heck of a thing. I would love to know your overall planning, if that's okay with you.
CONFIRMED - It's at the very end of the Route 66 pathway before the East Route Gate toward Gondwan City; will need CUT to access. Then walk up staircase and turn left.

Sorry response took so long. Covid19 has been affecting my area a tad more harshly than others (Louisiana).
Thank you! I just found your post actually though, I wish I had found it sooner. Absolutely marvelous contribution and I have been adding nearly all of them, or rather the ones I did not already have, to both my Spotify and YouTube playlists. You have impeccable tastes and I do hope that you continue your series.
The one that was linked in the main post definitely does appear in your Trash folder.

Thanks for the new link, I'll swap them right away :)
    Yo Allen, how's all?
Did you delete your walkthrough of Pokémon Adventures - Red Chapter?
It's currently unavailable, and the Google Drive page says that the document is in your Trash folder.
