  • Hey, just wondering if I could make a little request: would you be able to find out if the flags 0x700 to 0x7FF do anything, and if they'd be safe to use? Just asking because I noticed those flags aren't listed anywhere, I'm actually pretty interested in them. No problem if you don't have time, I'm just curious haha
    Yes, in 0800F3F4.
each of the three colors are followed by 0000 and end offset into RAM, where they are charged.

the routine that saves the slot is in 0800f380.
but I have not yet found the routine that reads palettes.
    Thanks for the information ...
however, I noticed that the text itself (FIGHT, BAG, POKéMON and RUN) loads a separate palette for it. This is the problem.
The palette that it carries, is the slot 05, which I could not find in the rom.
    hello again.
This is the routine that loads the battle menu text (FIGHT, BAG ...)
However, I verified that the palette that is used in the text is not the same as the box (slot 02), but the slot 05. And these palettes are not written in rom.
I looked in the routine but could not find where read / loads the slot for that text.

If possible, he could see where the data is, and how to change to the slot 02.
    bye.
Ooh, that sounds promising! Instead of say that it works without actually trying it out, I'll just say that I'll test it out when I have a chance. It seems like it'll work, though!
No, wait. I found out why the bytes were already 00's: your fix had them be at that to begin with! Part 1 of your TM usage feature had those bytes zeroed out as part of the first step.

I'll now have to admit the truth. I lied when I said that I checked with a vanilla ROM to see if it worked. Sorry about that! :( I just assumed that it sounded like you found the solution. I mean, it really sounded as if you were able to fix the specific TM consumed issue I mentioned (Poké with less than 4 known moves, watch whole animation...no other instance causes it to disappear).
Sounds cool! Woo :) so stoked it worked, was worried I was gonna have to rethink my beginning events of the previous glitch kept persisting XD.
Thanks for your help, I'll try out your routine in a bit and let you know how it goes :).
Btw, if you're still looking for a way to run stuff while the player is in the overworld and nothing is happening, hook at the pressed key checker. It seems to me things like the start menu would have interesting checks.
    thanks for the quick return!
I already managed to locate the table that carries the right palettes for each reflection. I got 5 more slots in the ram to use the OWS with no problem.

    Also, thanks for listening!
