  • Hey FBI!
First and foremost, I watch every post about ASM of yours, you rock, like some kind of master or even god about it, so thanks for sharing your knowledge!

I was looking at this one (https://www.pokecommunity.com/showpost.php?p=8515384&postcount=68) about EV reducing, and I came into a dumb doubt, in the very last line of the script it says "gained", isn't it? Shouldn't say "decreased" or smt? (= \v\h02 gained \v\h03\n[Insert the EV your berry gives])

Also, when I compile the script, is it ok if I put it on the "field script" using Gen 3 Tools?

    Thanks in advance!
    Hey there! :)

You probably don't remember me, but you helped me out once by creating the code for Snag Balls, haha. Which was both awesome and unprecedented, and helped me out SO MUCH, you have no idea. (Thanks again for that, by the way! :3)

Anyway, I was browsing through the ASM resource thread a little earlier, and it suddenly struck me just how much of the stuff there is yours, or based on your work, or brought into being by you in some way. And then I thought about all the hundreds of people who've no doubt taken one look at the thread and gleefully downloaded everything it has to offer, then silently vanished without so much as a like or a thank you... and I thought that kinda sucked. (I mean, it's cool that they like your work... not so cool that they don't tell you about it, lol.)

...And then I realised that I was one of those people, and I thought I should say thank you. ;)

So... thanks, FBI! For all the incredible work you've already done, and all the awesome stuff yet to come. I could rave on at quite some length about how many times I've been inspired to do something new by your improvements, or how much I've personally learned from your code and tutorials, or how generous it is to give all your work to the community... but you strike me as one of those people who's not comfortable with people gushing about how awesome they are, so I'll keep it short.

Basically... thank you. I love your work. You're a constant inspiration (seriously). And you've personally helped me out in more ways than I can count.

okay okay i'll shut up with the flattery now :P

    all the very very best,

    -Viv

Sorry :( life has gotten in the way
No worries my man! Just curious, is it possible to change the routine mid game to then support changing flag 0x250 to remove the save function from the menu?

EDIT: also figured this one out - I just added another flag check to the original routine. Thanks for writing the original script :)
    Hey FBI!
I was wondering if it's possible/not too difficult to edit this routine to remove the Player's Name from the start menu? My goal is to skip Oak's intro, setting the player name to some default but removing it from the menu until I use callasm 0x809FC91 later in game to set the name. Thanks for your help in advance :)

edit: I was able to figure it out, actually. awesome script :)
yo. The empty template of yours don't work on my win 7.
Cause I can't install python 3.5 in my PC. whenever I try to compile my c code it throws an error " unknown keyword 'recursive' ". After searching in internet I had found that t
recursive was added in Python 3.5's glob . How can I compile my codes now? I use python 3.4.3 btw.
Hey! I don't want to bug you on your PM so I post here... So I think u're kinda god on ASM. So it turns that when I use Sunny Day + Solarbeam seems like my pokemon is defeated (working like a self destruction). I try to see if there's any difference on G3T but nothing, so I think ASM=FBI could help me. What do you think? If you wish so I might send you my game. Hope you can help me, thanks anyway!
