  • Hey Dizzy, how did you change the exp growth rate in your emerald battle engine? A post of yours in the level limit said you changed one of the groups (whatever the 600,000 max exp at level 100 is) I'm making a hack and needed to edit the growth rate of the fluctuating rate (1,640,000) from levels 101-255, using your engine. Is there a script or something I can edit to do the trick?

    Is there a Behavior Table (Map Editing) existing in both platforms? If there is, do you know where the Emerald one's located? If so, please tell. I'll try to incorporate some of FireRed's though (e.g. Viridian Gym Movement Tiles).

    Hey Dizzy... I've been re-downloading DevkitArm_45 over and over but nothing works...should i use an older build of DevkitArm and try? BTW I gotta use devkitpro v1.6.0 rite?
    Its's strange because if I remove the waitstate, the special 0x29 gets called, even though as you said the fly function should end the script before it...

    Anyway, as you can probably tell, I'm that good in asm and advanced stuff, so if you could provide me that hook it would be wonderful. Thank you very much for your help!
    Ok so, everything is working beautifully, there's this one last thing I can't figure out: the pokemon that is displayed in the animation.


    the special 0x29 should restore the party but it doesn't, if I remove the waitstate the party gets restored before the animation so the pokemon displayed is wrong.

    What should I do?

    Now, since I want to make an Eon Flute with that, I need to solve other 2 problems: make the item use a script (I think this is the worst part, I know there is a way in Fire Red and JPAN engine, didn't find anything for Emerald), and make the animation display a pokemon that is not in the party (Latios/Latias)
    So, I did something like this:


    Inserted it in 0xE50000, and in the script I did callasm 0xE50001. The game freeze when the script activates.

    This should activate the map screen or it's just a preliminary thing to do?
    Thank you very much for these offsets, but isn't there a way to call the world map screen to choose the location?
