I prefer Anime where the Protagonist has a unrequited feeling for a Girl he can't have and manage to win her heart .
One of the reason I enjoyed Naruto and Digimon Adventure 02 !
Unfortunately in most case , The Protagonist just give up and settle with someone else.
Off Course , Digimon Tri is coming out but I guess Kari will chose TK or some random person.

Demo is basic himself, so it's not like he'd actually know who is not basic. Which Nico is clearly not, Demo. though Demo hates on characters he likes as well as characters he hates, so hate from him might not be the best barometer of basicness anyway

It's a mania you can catch much like Touhou. I've noticed it has a crazy amount of actual girls in the fandom, at least in my area.
