  • Well it's true! I have missed having you here. This is for you Riki

    Spoiler:
Thank you! I've been meaning to tidy up the edges of the cursor forever... I guess it's part of the charm now ;)
I'm hoping so, too. I'm pretty excited for it. How's work been? Are you still at the same lab?

Oh, he's a character from The Great Ace Attorney, Herlock Sholmes. He's kind of a giant dweeb but I love him.

What made ya wanna go back to adventure?
well howdy!!! just been busy with work really. got cast in a play that has rehearsals starting today, though, and I'm pretty pumped for that. How about you?
It's so weird because the forums are the only place PC-related I go by Tsutarja these days. I could go back to Zach, but it's funny seeing people's reactions on Discord when realize who I am on the forums :p
yeah but gamers are edgy jaded 12 year olds who would hate this stuff on reflex
they're trying to expand into the non-gamer market now :scream:
Social Media Team was the only time I've ever held any sort of position online, so that's notable. Until I was about...15, I only saw these kinds of communities as a means for baiting and trolling. I ended up with a following. Then my personality began changing, and I also became mellow. (so they decided I wasn't fun anymore).

Ah sorry I'll relink it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u31FO_4d9TY

I think with music, most people are attached to what they find relatable. Rap is a niche. Obviously most people aren't going to relate in any sort of way to the stuff gangster rap is about. Pop Music is often about love, and this music is everywhere, people relate and it hits the mainstream. Not rolling through the hood with 10 of your gangster friends committing acts of violence. It's not relatable to most and it makes sense if you find this stuff unappealing.

Then there's the uhh, weird side of rap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8hyMG3b05u0. I can't explain this stuff. But there's an actual cult of people who dress like clowns and listen to this music.

Sorry if I'm talking your ear off, I don't even know you.
This is completely unrelated, and I really don't mean to bother you too much. A while back you made a thread about rap being bad. And honestly I agree that 90% of it is pretty awful, but there were a couple songs that went mainstream that I guess I could share. Doesn't mean you would like them, but rap without any sort of vulgarity does exist.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Mb1ZvUDvLDY. I'm not a huge fan of this. Anything by tupac i find depressing. He was killed in his early 20s, just a few years older than me. I've heard non rap fans listening to this though on an aux cord.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u31FO_4d9. I don't remember exactly why this was written, but it was something to do with rap being banned from the major radio stations. So the group attempted a clean song.

again doesn't mean you would like those songs. As more of a fan of metal, i share similar sentiments to what you stated about rap, but there are exceptions. anyways, take care.
i guess i partially understand. but being an admin, you probably saw many colorful people. on the social media team, i remember laughing at some of the messages that came towards the page.

anyway, i probably remembered you because you seemed important. i was only on the social media team for a bit and it was unremarkable. i signed up for no reason, on impulse. Then I was like "oh god they actually accepted my application, now what". then there were people congratulating me on my profile, so I felt like i couldn't quit immediately.
