Hey there, it's been a while.

I just hope the design is more "nature"-like if that makes sense. I don't want Grookey's final form to be like infernape, but I also dont want it being a lumbering gorilla. We have one from gen 7 already.

I was thinking that as well, but dont forget that they had fire/fighting starters three generations in a row. Water/dark doesnt seem like a stretch compared to that lol.

The closest we'll get to having Perfectionists are those Cool Trainers or Ace Trainers haha usually having varied teams that are high leveled & they're confident in their Pokemon :) the games are too "family friendly" to have a hard mode...your best bet is in these fan made games.

So is it safe to assume you draw & write comics, perhaps manga, on the side, hmm? It would be really great if it's true :D I do have a long-running project I've been doing on & off for some years now, but I'd rather call them doodles than a full-powered comic haha

I got to see the video & just from first impressions, Sword & Shield look fantastic. Galar region, is it based on England? The look of the country side, that tower in town which reminded me of Big Ben, the male protagonist entering a football/soccer stadium while wearing what I thought was a Goalkeeper's kit...maybe I'm reaching (^^'' ). I just like finding out which real world places the regions are based on (Gen 1 & 2 being Japan, Gen 3-5 not sure, Gen 6 France & Gen 7 Hawaii). The starters look cool, I liked their artwork...it had a Gen 3 feel to it. You can only hope their evolutions will look like proper evolutions & not "next form", if that makes sense haha

As cool as the Switch may be, I know I'm not getting one any time soon. Gotta consider my location & of course - money. I don't have a 3DS, same problem, so I had to rely on the Citra emulator & it somehow manages to run on my non-gaming laptop haha. It's why from the time Let's Go Pika/Eevee came out for the Switch I have felt like perhaps my journey of keeping up with the Pokemon games may have ended with Sun/Moon, because I got to play that generation. Gen 8 is beyond my reach.

Grass/Psychic would be really cool on Grookey. I've been hearing a lot of Grass/Rock predictions, but I think that would be more interesting. Fire/Electric would be pretty cool, but I'm also thinking Fire/Ground is a possibility. Although maybe it would be too similar to Bunnelby then. Yea I doubt Sobble will ever be part dragon, as cool as it would be. Water/Dark maybe?

You just have to find a way to remove the static.

Yea i agree. All the starters are cute! I'm a bit partial to Sobble, but Grookey is growing on me. Ultimately, their final evolutions will be the decision-making though. If Scorbunny ends up Fire/Electric, that would be super cool! What do you think the final typings will be?

Haha Perfectionist should be a kind of Trainer (or are they already there?), they won't go after Gym Badges until they have "the perfect team, at the perfect levels" when they get to a Gym city :D I totally get you. At times I think it's because of being a perfectionist that we don't get enough stuff done. Will you be a gfx designer under specific fields & industries or just for any field/industry?

Major props to him, I don't envy him for that job at all haha maths & science kicked me right through high school.

If only things were that simple, where anyone anywhere could just get a Switch or any gaming console & not have to rely on emulators :/ but unfortunately that ain't the reality. Most of my friends & I here kept up with Pokemon & other older games via emulators...but we did have actual PS2s so perhaps that was one positive lol I haven't watched the Direct yet, I didn't have time yesterday but tonight I will! I did see an image though (does it count as a spoiler?) of what looked like a new rabbit Pokemon & the new logos, Sword & Shield? Interesting :D

Thank you! Yea I have a crush on this one girl, but she isn't interested in dating. Honestly, I understand. I didn't want to date last semester (I didn't think I was ready/wanted to focus on other things). I'm also not going to ask out a girl on a whim. Having a genuine relationship is very important to me and I'll only date a girl if her values coincide with mine.

So I was thinking of getting back into anime a little bit. My roommate will roast the crap out of me for it, but whatever lol. I think you were the one that originally got me into it a few years ago with Attack on Titan. Do you have any good recommendations? Nothing with too many seasons... I just won't have the time unfortunately.

Yea life has been super stressful for me, but I'm also having a lot of fun! I'm in my second semester of uni and doing well. I've been spending the past couple weeks working on internship and job applications. So far, I haven't had much luck landing an internship but I just got a job as a research assistant, which I'm excited for. Despite the stress, I've been riding a high for the most part. And a lot of this is possible because I've made some major lifestyle changes like reducing my computer usage, engaging more in my faith, and eating better... I've lost 70-75 lbs since June! I'm finally feeling confident in my own skin and girls definitely treat me differently/are more interested (but no girlfriend yet!).

I'm just waiting for things to take a turn lol

You're the very first person to have brought that up (oo!) I didn't even know about the whole event (had to look it up after reading your message). Lol, I'll check on it after it's done, but yeah chances are high it'll be Switch-based, because that's the new shiny toy. I've just accepted it, even though I found out that there is a Switch emulator available...BUT you need an actual Switch to extract some files for the emulator /==./ 3rd world Poke-problems right there lol

Haha, I'm sorry to hear that. Are there customers/students who're super annoying & troublesome? It sounds like yet another thankless job.

One word comes to mind when Jo'Burg is mentioned - crime. That's the reputation it has had for a long time, no idea if it has improved in recent years lol. But probably not all of Jo'Burg, same with Cape Town. Great place but not everywhere.

Well, someone must've brought that up when they were making Let's Go Pika/Eevee because Pokemon can follow you there :D I saw an LP for it & that was awesome. Not having a Switch, I don't have much to say about the next games /^^!/ well, unless Gen 8 will be available for 3DS too. What I've heard is they want to revamp the entire system in Gen 8, like the Gym system, so it'll be interesting to see how creative they'll get but after seeing the Island Trial system & the revamped HM system in Sun/Moon, I wouldn't hold my breath lol
