  • Have I ever mentioned I am not a fan of the idea of Event Pokémon particularly those that are Event exclusive like Mew and Meloetta. I have never had a Meloetta.

Not a big user of any of the regional birds in truth. In Gen 6 I didn't even use one for Fly as I had a Shiny Golurk to fly around on. :)

Wasn't Shiny a fan made term? In Pearl and the Unova Games there are NPC's who talk specifically about Shiny Pokémon...even though a lot of players will not see one in said games. Helpfully Shiny Pokémon have a noise when they shine helping you notice in case you run into say a Shiny Petilil in Gen 5. :)

Bruno has one as does Marshall in the rematch in White 2.

The Johto Gyms are as a whole seen as hardest with Chikorita. I have never used Cynaquil or its evolutions. The designs are unimpressive to me.

That reminds me new topic up in Grass Club. :)
Remember two versions of Vilvillon are Event Pokémon...meaning the wings will not change. Flabebe's flower remaining the same regardless of Shininess is very cute. :)

I have never used the Gen 4 Regional Bird but my Shiny Alakazam Nostradamus may well make it into my All Kanto Team. :)

Frogadier is an awkward middle stage but I prefer Greninja's regular form to his Shiny Form. The Shiny might be black but it is difficult to be stealthy when you are sparkly.

The Superpower Pokémon has been around since Gen 1 but has never given me many problems. In my Johto Grass Monotype Whitney's Miltank wasn't too tricky as Rollout is a Rock move and I had a Female Starter. The Clefairy wasn't easy though, the Dice Roll of Metronome got Blizzard and Psychic. :0

Talking of Monotypes Scarlet the Cherrim soloed Wake's Gym with Sunny Day and Petal Dance. His Gyarados was tough however. I liked his quote after you bear him saying that you should battle for fun win or lose. :)
Do you know what Tail Glow on Manaphy does? :P

    Ever visited PCs battle server?

Well, it's hard to compare a non-mega Pokemon with a Mega Pokemon like ZardY. Obviously it has worse stats, but the latter also has access to Roost, so he can recover easily.

It's a lot slower, has no priority/proper recovery outside Rest and doesn't have the option to go Mega. Having good defenses is nice and all, but a lot of things hit it really hard and Scizor at least can recover without RestTalk shenanigans.
    You're welcome!
Yeah, it's warm cuz it's a leftover Fire Pokemon theme I had back when I was trying to participate in that Supporter collab that never took off. xD
Today is Chinese New Year, and as Starry Windy said, it is year of the Monkey (Chimchar!)
Oh hey happy 8th PCversary... want a celebration thread? I always like congratulating those that I'm paired with.
Then, why was she completely written out of canon? Besides, if she wasn't in GSC, what makes you think that a GSC sequel would have her?

You and me both. Gen 6 has largely been a disaster, IMO.

BTW, what do you think of my new avatar?
    That is true.

I may have just used Wormadam for the battle instead as it has Hidden Power Fire and Confusion. Lucario may be a tricky Pokémon for that stage of the game but the rest of her team is rather underwhelming.

Yes, the tongue is a creative design choice that looks off to me. Frogadier just looks strange...

Why indeed? :) Luckily against Whitney I had a female starter. :)
I was more thinking in the lines of a few hundreds, but okay. In my shop list I only included the non-legendary flying basic Pokémon. I was thinking the others should only be available in store on certain occasions or given away as event prize.

You are way too obsessed with this, it's getting scary. :P
Shiny Vivillon - the most Unique Shiny ever...

It turns out Donovan learnt Earthquake the moment he evolved into Torterra. It made Maylene's Gym a formality as Lucario fell in one hit. Scarlet the Cherrim is doing surprisingly well. She learns Petal Dance on evolution. :) Next up the Water Gym.

Is it bad the Froakie line is the only Kalos Starter I have not used. Froakie is cute but I am not a fan of the evolved forms designs at all.

Dunsparce is a normal type that doesn't evolve and did not get onto Whitney's team. Along with Farfetch'd though, it somehow gets into most games.
Yeah, gods forbid I want to see quality and consistency in my games and not just blindly throw money at crap. :rolleyes2:

Seeing as both characters are likely dead, I probably don't even want to know what happened to them.
Oh just you wait until you reach higher places on the ladder. :P
Just sad that we'll not run into each other since I'm more of a Singles player and I don't really feel like getting into Doubles.

Which is why I said ZardY outclasses it by a mile. :P

A lot of people on the early ladder like to run weird Pokemon that don't really fit together quite well, though. Forretress is just the tip of the iceberg so to speak.
10k seems a bit out of proportion compared to the other amounts, but okay, you're the boss. However, keep in mind that people would need the appropriate Pokémon for the Mega stone to have effect. There only seem to be two flying type Megas... (or five if you also count Charizard, Salamence and Rayquaza, but I think those are obtainable on special occasions only, no?)

That's not entirely true, since you could as well be lying. But I guess we'll found out at the end of the phase.

...I'm not sure how to interpret that.
    P
Ah, I see. Guess it's a pretty closed circle thing with high entry barriers, rather than just a "for fun" sort of thing.

Indeed; I loved the GBA titles growing up! I remember how excited I was for The Lost Age...and how long it took me to type out the password to link my save file to it, haha. I'm guessing you're fond of them also? Shame Dark Dawn was such a letdown =/

Well, I'm enjoying it at least, although I dunno what long-time fans make of it. Story is a bit slow, but as long as I get my Digimon I don't care if I have to wade through a little boring dialogue...it's an RPG. Boring dialogue comes with the territory. xD

Seems to be a standard thing...everyone in the West seems to think that darker = better, for some obscure reason I have yet to identify. Probably something to do with the Western concept of maturity...or lack thereof.

Gawd, GoPri's transformation...it was like a cross between DokiDoki's and Smile's - they couldn't decide if they wanted to stand still and let the clothes go on them or hop about, so they stood still and then ran with crazy hand movements at the end. I have to wonder what the fandom is going to compare it to. I doubt Doremi will sub it until mid-week so there is much time to decide. I'll watch the first couple of episodes and then either keep up or just get it every week and watch it when it's finished airing, aha. I need to watch YPC5 and GoGo anyway...

I feel like that sometimes, yeah; usually it just takes me a while to fall asleep because I can't stop mulling things over in my mind...and as soon as I'm up in the morning I'm sorting stuff out. There's always a rush on for some reason. The reason varies. xD
WHAT? 5000 would take like a year to collect, if not more! I think it's better if we just keep the Pokémon as some sort of collectibles and do Showdown tournaments in "rental" style, or at least for the moment being.

Lol, you're actually dying in Blue Moon.

I'm growing two extra arms??? D: Wait, that's kinda cool actually.
    P
Oh? What did you do/not do?

    Naturally. xD
It's actually gotten a lot of flak for its grind-intensive gameplay, but the seven perspective thing actually reminds me a bit of DQIV, especially if the stories are all different. I'll find out soon enough, I guess...maybe. Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth is eating away all my free time now, aha.

Ugh, Tamers. Asides Savers, I'd say that is easily the worst series. But then...nostalgia talking again. Coming off Adventure 02 I found it disappointing for its lack of a memorable villain. Frontier was good, though. Especially the last few episodes.

I kinda write. I've had my own novels in the works for years, and they've kinda mutated several times over the years. I keep a document with outlines, but every time I start I end up re-writing everything after a while. xD

Doesn't really look like that's happened...first videos are up on Tumblr, and they look younger in motion, at least to me. I'm getting very Splash Star-esque vibes from the opening, and Futari Wa from the transformation. I can totally live with this. I've missed the duo mechanic.

I dunno about 72 hours, but more than 24 would be nice. Or I could do with needing less sleep...four hours, maybe. I need six at the moment but usually wind up with seven or eight. So much wasted time! XD
