Well, it'd no longer be a closed system because there would be an outer limit to it. Entropy couldn't get beyond a certain point because it'd no longer be able to stop expanding beyond a certain limit. Therefore, energy could only spread out to a certain point, and if this kept entropy low enough that new stars could still form, we'd be laughing. Unfortunately, it's impossible!
And don't get me started on multiverses. I once watched a documentry about superstring/M theory and honestly didn't understand a word of it. Just can't get my head around the entire "11 dimensional" universe thing.
