    Ooo you're gonna watch, how exciting! :D

    Fullmetal Alchemist (2003 series) branches off from the manga's story when its about 25 episodes in. The manga was ongoing, so the animation studio had its own take on certain plot points and ending. This one is concluded in the movie The Conqueror of Shamballa.

    Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (2009 series) stays true to the manga's story. It assumes that most fans watched the first one, so it will try to cut fillers in the beginning. It'll still show the important things, just to be on the safe side if the viewer is new to the series. At about episode 15, it will cover the new material from the manga. The animation and quality is vastly superior to the 2003 version, but to each their own on which plot/ending they prefer. There is a spin-off movie called The Sacred Star of Milos (it is not the conclusion to the series).

    It's alright to watch both in either order or whatever! I recommend watching the 2003 first and then the 2009 one, just to compare 'how someone thought FMA would end' to 'how the manga actually ended' or some such.

    If you're only going to watch one of them, I recommend Brotherhood. One of my favorite anime of all time. :)

    I haven't read them yet but I really want to as well, they're only ~$6 per manga new on Amazon so I'm tempted to treat myself ;o;

    OH GALEFORCE THE BANE OF MY EXISTENCE
    well it took me ages to train my avatar (i had to take priority for my avatar because lucina comes in after chapter 13 and i want her to learn it). at one point i'm like SCREW THIS I'M PLAYING OTHER GAMES LIKE ANIMAL CROSSING
    well, i succeeded in that, but i still have sumia, lissa and cordelia to train to get galeforce so i'm crying right now, like why this ;-;

    so i think it's really annoying to train your units, but the payback is so good! like, i can pair up lucina and morgan and since they both know galeforce they tend to wipe out 3 units in one turn. if almost everyone learns galeforce i'm going to have a whole team of wipers and that's good.

    so in short you should take breaks and play other games while grinding! that's what i did :'D

    i'm doing a second playthrough of the game, which is basically me trying effective child inheritances and learning skills and all that, but also pairing cute ships like lon'qu and lissa u///u
    so far i'm doing okay, with female avatar's whole family learning galeforce (except chrom because he can't uwu) and destroying everything in their way ahahaha... but i kind of forgot about inheriting skills when i recruited yarne and kjelle and now they aren't as good as other children ;w; but it's ok because i won't ever use them anyway

    I take a look at the video games subforum, and I see you've made a post in the "Fire Emblem: Awakening" thread?! I'm so happy there's someone I know who also plays that game 'w' (even though I'm a complete newbie and have never played other Fire Emblem games so I'm kind of ashamed haha)
