Could work! Backup your settings for it and try it (the .ini files).

I've been doing a lot of studying into the IT field lately and it sounds like a system restore is the only thing that could fix your problem without having a tech come out and look at your system.

Lol, yeah, sorry about that. Anyway, you will probably have to reinstall them if you decide to do it. But it should fix your problem, if you miss mIRC it'd be better to do it sooner than later.

It's a common solution that any IT person would suggest.
