  • Well apparently there isn't a reason XD One year in the early 20th century someone decided that eating grapes every one of the 12 times the clock strikes at midnight would be fun or whatever and people started doing it... and so it became a tradition XD
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EXwHcPm_xF8#t=978

And yeah I'll keep you updated :D
Oh, I missed him saying that. Seven years!? Hot damn.

I had What'sApp at some point. I've moved on to BBM now though, because for whatever reason that seems to be big with my relatives and most people I've met seem to stick to SMS over What'sApp anyway. I haven't heard of LINE before. I'll check it out if I can (my phone complains about no space all the time despite having plenty). If I add you, then it worked out XD

Oh man, twelve. I don't even like normal lemonade much at all, that would have just done me in at that age.

Yeah, those sweets and such. It hasn't been a good year for me thus far lol Been working late a lot and picking up food on the way home :( I gotta turn it around soon

I think I'll probably pick swimming back up at some point. Or'll try to anyway. I like it. Hadn't thought of squash. I think someone at work does that. Whatever, if-ever, I settle on something would have to be something I can convince my brother to tag along for lol How is spinning? That seems kinda intense

And haha, thanks. ;p I'm helping out at 4P so that I may score an E3 trip at some point if the site ever takes off. Which is a very blue sky notion. But yeah, there's another article queued up at least.

The Mario's not too small actually. It's a good size plushie. I have it in my box of Nintendo trinkets I've amassed over the years now.

First couple of days back at work, I was out of the groove :( And very tired because I was staying up too late throughout the holidays. Week after that though, everything was back to normal. A bit busier than usual and a couple things to address on short notice. I think I've stayed late nearly every day thus far :S But fun. Love the environment at work we have going with the people and dynamics.

How about you? Working on anything top secret again? :P
I had heard of it before, but I never watched it until just now. That sliding thing was insane!

I don't normally like those kinds of sequence break videos, but that guy clearly knows the game inside and out like a science o_o
Well, it was because I usually wake up at 8, so that meant two hours less, and I always find it so hard to fall back asleep afterwards D/

And yeah, I can imagine. When I was in Argentina, I was in the middle of the party, trying to do the midnight tradition of eating 12 grapes as the clock hits 12 while everybody was just hugging each other XD It felt so weird.

I am pretty excited too! This guy has created two successful newspapers in the last 30 years so he certainly knows his trade. Plus he said he was looking for at least 35 young people who hadn't had a proper work before so I fit. I just know that if I get an interview, I'll get the job for sure, so that's what I'm hoping for. And this is his project plan in English: http://www.elespanol.com/arponero/let-us-give-life-el-espanol-let-us-change-spain/
Okay I need to follow that for sure XD

And glad to hear you are better! I had an acceptably good Christmas, with family and all... but specially being at a beach town, far away from the pollution in the capital, does wonders, even if I had an obnoxious neighbour who would always wake me up at like 6 AM... but well, you get some, you lose some :P

I have applied to a new newspaper starting up in a few weeks and I'm pretty excited, they are looking for young but talented people and I definitely fit in there and I'd love to see a new project start from scracth- it's also led by one of the biggest editors in Spain so I'd have a lot to learn too. Hoping for an interview in a few weeks.
been good, just doing some competitive battling at Shodown main server, more into monotype these days, do you like to battle?
My uncle was attempting on Christmas Eve to mix some drinks. Printed off some instructions online and then didn't really follow them at all. Just what goes into them, but not how much of each. One thing was super, super sweet. Way too sweet. And then this other drink was like an ultra strong lemoncello type thing. Could singe your eyebrows right off lol

Yeah, I did the Distillery District market just before the break like I told you earlier. Really nice evening out with the lights and the old buildings. On NYE, kinda just drove around the nice bits of downtown where the rich people hang out lol Looking at the lights. Overall though that whole week was very wet and rainy and dreary, no very Christmassy feeling

Fireworks sounds fun though. They did fireworks and ice skating at city hall here which sounded nice.

Don't get me started on sweets lol I had my own haul of chocolate stuff I picked up from Soma right before Christmas (lovely dark chocolate with some sea salt, and a mayan hot cocoa mix) and then I got tonne of chocolate for Christmas. Stocking stuffers from parents was a bunch of hot chocolate mixes and chocolate (nothing fancy, just Russell Stover). And then some small chocolate from other relatives who felt kinda bad about our "no gifts" arrangement. Way too much chocolate

I'm thinking about doing... something. Not necessarily a gym (maybe a trampoline place?), and not now in January when it's busy with people who will give up in a couple weeks. Just want to do something out of the house and active, but not necessarily fitness. But I don't know what. I think winter is getting to me. It has been a bitterly cold week here :( Feeling cooped up

Oh, judging by the title that's a food blog? To match your food twitter? (Oh, by the way. I have you on Twitter now, both accounts. Please follow me back if you're interested :)) I'll be sure to check it out. Your food pics here on PC are always so good!

Not a blog, but I'm writing for these guys now if you're interested http://www.4pgames.net/features The two articles that say "Justin" are mine lol

No gifts of mine got lost, but I ordered some stuff on Boxing Day that was a pain. Got an email later that week saying they weren't going to honour my order. Oh, co-worker at work got me this. I have no use for it, but I thought that was a real nice gesture.

And work is good. Busy. New year, so clients feel the need to reinvent themselves and freshen up their sites. We have to maintain a blog for work too, to generate traffic on our site. Spent most of this weekend working on my next entry :(
Hey! :) My holidays were fun. Lots of food and video games and family time. Went to the movies a couple times too (Hobbit and Birdman).

How about you? How'd your holidays fare?

And, movie-watching sounds like a fun resolution. What have you watched so far? I hope you find some good down time regardless. Nobody wants to be burnt out :(

And oh, man, I have to relive that visit now. XD Uhhh.... what'd she make this year? I think we had some plain ol' breaded chicken cutlets. So, breadcrumbs were present again yeah lol

That aside, my holidays were really nice. Spent a lot of time with family, both immediate and with my Mom's side. Christmas Eve dinner, Christmas Day dinner. We decided not to gift each other things this year outside of host gifts when visiting each other and instead we all went out for brunch on the weekend between Christmas and New Year's. Went out for New Year's Eve too with my brother and parents. Just so happened that my aunt and uncle went to the same place. Had like a half hour overlap between us leaving and them arriving, so chatted for a bit. And then saw them again the next morning for a big family New Year's breakfast. So, a heck of a lot of good food over the holidays. Like, too much.

Work is busy and growing. We're moving to a new office at the end of the month. Right at Yonge and Dundas! I'm going to take advantage of the extra distance and start walking a bit more instead of using public transit once I make it downtown by train. Maybe that'll help counter the holiday food somewhat XD

    How have you been?
    Aweh, why thank you!! :3

I don't think I've ever even had a savory pie, lol. I've only ever really had and seen fruity pies. Unless those chicken pot pie things count, but I've never liked the frozen ones in the store. Granted, most things in the frozen section are pretty unappetizing. Better home-made, perhaps? c:

Although I'm much the opposite apparently, I've never really cared for sweet veggies, either - and I've always hated sweet potatoes, haha. I cannot live without my greens, especially broccoli and spinach, but I've never liked that sweet potato casserole with the marshmallows. My sister did it every year for Thanksgiving, and it was the only thing I actively avoided... and I am not a picky eater, by any means!
Actually I don't have pics :O But Gav and Went have a lot. I try to make them send me them but Gav's being lazy xD

By the way, if I ever publish something I'm gonna beg you to make the cover art, haha. You seem good with colors, and my story is all about colors and faces so I'm convinced it would be utterly amazing.
I got home all fine, I'm just horrendously tired, but that will go away with time I hope XD

And wow. I think we all have been sick to some degree these pasts weeks, but I still can't get over how red your nose looked that day. Are you better now?
I know! My biggest gripe was that it wasn't for more days. It's alright, I didn't wake up feeling 100% myself. Health has been a bit of an issue in recent weeks but it's all good. How are you feeling now?

Yeah hopefully I'll be back over soon! I have no idea what my story will be with Guilford for a while, but I will probably try and get over before that. Summer time maybe!

Yeah it was awesome meeting you and Will, you guys were even more amazing in person. So I eagerly await the next time we all meet for real :]
She loved meeting you too :D When we got home at 4-5am sunday morning haha, we were still happy (me a bit more euphoric perhaps). And hey, come to some interesting part of Sweden next summer if you can (there aren't that many interesting parts imo lmao) and I could force Gav to come too and hang out!

I checked lulu.com out, it looks really interesting. I'll take a deeper look 8)
Me too! I hope you'll have a lovely Christmas with your friends and family. :3 <33

And yeah over the next couple of days I'm going to be busy baking for a Christmas charity and even cooking for my own family with mom. C: So, nothing tooo special planned, just gonna be with family!

    How about you dear? o:
