    Welcome to the fifth annual installment of the Favorite Pok?mon Tournament, hosted here in Pok?mon General! The goal of the Favorite Pok?mon Tournament (also known as the FPT), is to determine the most popular Pok?mon/Pok?mon family of the users here at the Pok?Community. This will be a 10-week set of polls running between now and December, where we'll pit almost all Pok?mon of different types from past and present generations against each other to determine a winner. After we know the results of each type, we'll add all of those Pok?mon to a final poll, where the winner(s) will be crowned champion, and will go down into the record books as Pok?Community's favorite Pok?mon of 2017!

    • Garchomp. It's been one of the best Pokemon, performance-wise, ever since it was first introduced. Not just that, but it's the first thing that comes into my head whenever the Ground-type gets mentioned. It also has some really awesome looks - it's a fricken' land shark, for god's sake! Who wouldn't want one of those?

    Onix: Loved this mon ever since it was introduced in the anime
    Nidoking: Its a freaking power house
    Mudbray/Mudsdale: Just started using one in Sun and I'm loving its power and surprisingly likable design (gotta love pokemon Refresh)

    • While I know Ground isn't the most exciting of types, thank you to those of you who voted anyway!

    While it wasn't much of a surprise, Gible, Gabite, and Garchomp led the way from the get-go in this poll and never looked back, en route to their 3rd straight victory in the Ground type poll! Coming up just behind was the Flygon family (who won this poll in 2014), with the Krookodile family finishing in 3rd.
